I feel so bad for Ronnie…I also feel bad for the people that think this is just an innocent song. In all reality, it’s really blunt with what it’s talking about but no one really listens to its lyrics…

while knowing the true backstory behind the song the message becomes apparent but i think it’s every artists dream for their audience to have multiple interpretations!! :)

also in one interview the band states that their intention was to mimic the trite songs that phil spector produced whilst abusing everyone else around him behind the scenes. their intention was to demonstrate how majority of listeners don’t think twice about the music they listen to.

I've liked roar for years and seeing it get popular kinda makes me mad because of all the edits and stupid stuff tiktok does to it. I know I'm gatekeeping but damn , a sorta small band not many people know about or you hear anything about randomly blowing up and people making sped up , slowed reverb cringe and alot of other stuff kinda makes me mad. There's a band I'm in love with named Julie and they are slowly gaining new fand and I know it's probably gonna happen to them , I want them to have success but at the same time it's a hidden gem only me and a handful of others know about

@jan251025 Жыл бұрын
This is a great song, but relating it to something that was a real incident and was tremendous is giving me the creepy vibes. I love this song but if i see the lyrics i immediately think about the Backstory about this song. And the cover is both Phil Spector and Ronnie, which means to be related to the incident. The part "And love is a tower where all of us can live," means the part where Ronnie was locked with the twin children they adopted, they were locked in a tower. And the part "And leave this fucked up place behind, but i'll know, i'll know," Was meaned to be threatened to Ronnie if she is trying or is escaping, he will put her in a glass casket dead. And that is the horrific backstory and the dark story about this song.
