I feel so bad for Ronnie…I also feel bad for the people that think this is just an innocent song. In all reality, it’s really blunt with what it’s talking about but no one really listens to its lyrics…

while knowing the true backstory behind the song the message becomes apparent but i think it’s every artists dream for their audience to have multiple interpretations!! :)

also in one interview the band states that their intention was to mimic the trite songs that phil spector produced whilst abusing everyone else around him behind the scenes. their intention was to demonstrate how majority of listeners don’t think twice about the music they listen to.

They definitely can’t tell it’s innocent, Roar does really good at creating suspense and hopelessness, but I do think it’s a great idea for people to learn the history of the shitty man and marriage Christmas kids was inspired by

Ronnette, my dear, don't ever disappear Do what you want as long as you stay here I need you now, I love you so much, more than you could know The Christmas kids were nothing but a gift And love is a tower where all of us can live You'll change your name, or change your mind And leave this fucked up place behind But I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know Appearing unsightly, with devils inside me If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie I'm leaving, Phil, I'm leaving now I'm going to escape, but you won't know how Or where to find me when I'm gone I'll drink myself to death insi-i-i-i-i-i-ide this prison cell, thi-is prison cell So, get me out of here Get me out of here Get me out of here Get me out of here You'll change your name, or change your mind And leave this fucked up place behind But I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know I'll know, I'll know

I've liked roar for years and seeing it get popular kinda makes me mad because of all the edits and stupid stuff tiktok does to it. I know I'm gatekeeping but damn , a sorta small band not many people know about or you hear anything about randomly blowing up and people making sped up , slowed reverb cringe and alot of other stuff kinda makes me mad. There's a band I'm in love with named Julie and they are slowly gaining new fand and I know it's probably gonna happen to them , I want them to have success but at the same time it's a hidden gem only me and a handful of others know about

this beautiful song has the power to transcend time and space, capturing the essence of human emotions and experiences. It is a melodic masterpiece that weaves together intricate harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and soul-stirring rhythms. When we listen to a beautiful song, it's as if we are transported to another realm, where our spirits soar and our hearts resonate with every note. The interplay of different instruments and skilled vocal performances create a symphony of emotions, evoking feelings of joy, love, sadness, or nostalgia. The beauty of a song lies in its ability to touch the deepest corners of our souls and leave an indelible mark on our lives. Furthermore, this beautiful song has the unique ability to unite people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. It transcends language barriers, allowing individuals to connect deeper beyond words. It becomes a universal language of emotion, capable of evoking shared experiences and creating a sense of belonging. Whether it's a heartfelt ballad, an upbeat anthem, or a haunting melody, a beautiful song has the power to bring people together, fostering a sense of unity and understanding in a fragmented world. It is a testament to music's remarkable impact on our lives, reminding us of our shared humanity. Lastly, this beautiful song possesses the remarkable ability to evoke vivid memories and transport us back to specific moments in time. It becomes a soundtrack to our lives, forever associated with cherished memories, significant milestones, or profound experiences. The opening chords of a beloved song can instantly transport us to a time and place, conjuring up emotions and sensations long forgotten. Whether it's a song played at a wedding, a lullaby is sung during childhood, or an anthem that resonates with a personal journey, the beauty of a piece lies in its ability to etch itself into the tapestry of our lives, creating a timeless connection between music and memory. In conclusion, the beauty of this song is found in its ability to transcend boundaries, evoke emotions, and create lasting connections. It possesses a magical quality that touches the depths of our souls, bringing people together and forging a sense of unity. A beautiful song becomes a cherished companion, woven into the fabric of our lives, carrying with it memories, emotions, and a profound impact that extends far beyond the final notes. It is a testament to the extraordinary power of music and its ability to inspire, heal, and uplift the human spirit. truly a masterpiece

This is a great song, but relating it to something that was a real incident and was tremendous is giving me the creepy vibes. I love this song but if i see the lyrics i immediately think about the Backstory about this song. And the cover is both Phil Spector and Ronnie, which means to be related to the incident. The part "And love is a tower where all of us can live," means the part where Ronnie was locked with the twin children they adopted, they were locked in a tower. And the part "And leave this fucked up place behind, but i'll know, i'll know," Was meaned to be threatened to Ronnie if she is trying or is escaping, he will put her in a glass casket dead. And that is the horrific backstory and the dark story about this song.
