Roaring Camp and Big Trees No. 2 Heisler in the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains

Today, the No. 2 Heisler, named TUOLUMNE, hauled us through 180 acres of redwood forest in the Santa Cruz mountains of California. Assisted by a 1941 Plymouth Switcher, we traversed switchbacks and made it to the summit of Bear Mountain !

My husband's fathers ashes are spread at the location of one of the bridges.. he was an officer and stockholder in the RCBT museum, and loved that place more than anywhere on Earth. Likely no one currently with the museum would have been around back then to remember that service held in early 1980s, and the spreading of his ashes...Rest in Peace Keith... you are remembered.
