jimmy sanjana 3 days ago (edited) I owned a Yezdi from new, from 1974 for over 11 years and did over a lakh km on it. It cost Rs. 7000, money had value then. Coimbatore to Ooty trips with my wife on pillion many times , Yercaud, Bangalore to Tirupati and back. Changed the piston and rings just once, didn't ever replace the battery as it didn't require one to start. Reliable, great bike. Have a RE Classic 500 now but still a Jawa/ Yezdi fan.

sir . I am santhosh from villupuram I bought Yezdi 1979 modal in mysore on 2011 with full originality ( sir u heard about jawa kumar he is one of the best mechanic in South ,jawa specialist he worked in jawa manufacturing company MYSORE ) I bought from him .I do know how to start and ride he taught everything low pump to start and gear shift, continously ride 120km to 150 km engine will be rich how to clear that problems bla.bla ....bla ,I learned while riding feeling happy and enjoy with Yezdi like very much beat sound after 1 year small problem inside engine that clutch plate broken ( that metal duck feet shape bought in pudhu pettai ) in my home town there is no mechanic . I searched some people said go to chennai u will got . one old man said ask jawa sambath he is specialist mechanic before 30 years I roamed one person said his native is villupuram that moment I am happy becoz same home town I searched that old man and repair my bike fully pakka condition . After few days he passed I am proud to say jawa sambath lastly worked my bike ,now am riding once in a year ayidha pooja special ..

Guys... I have a genuine question. Can anyone pls clear my doubt? While riding on hills, I feel jawa/yezdi feels low on pulling power. Many times, I've seen latest but smaller 100cc bikes overtake me with ease. Is this normal? This is my only worry about this bike. Otherwise, in plain stretch there is no match to the "high" feeling this bike gives. Its heaven on road.
