ROARING RIVER STATE PARK (OPENING DAY)

Today we take through the wild world of march 1st at roaring river state park. Every year thousands of people line up on the banks of roaring river state park for the chance to fish thousands of rainbow trout. Needless to say its an absolute madhouse. We will give you a little idea of what its like to be part of the chaos and try to help out a little if your thinking about trying it out for yourself on what to do for your best chance at success.

Caught my first trout there in 1968 when I was 12 years old. Bamboo fly rod and tips from a real pro fly fisher guy. I was ecstatic.
