Always, no need to strain grounds. Whilst in residence I make freshly ground coffee in a Moka pot, "which always makes the best coffee," filter is not my preference.

@@TheLoreofBushcraft yes, I'll run mine through cotton material, at least. I've been doing a 5 minute boil, then pour the coffee through. Always smooth that way.

@@TheLoreofBushcraft, I'm in Pittsburgh, PA (USA). Just happened to be enjoying some coffee we got from Ethiopia actually. We're members of a coffee club and get a new batch every month from a different country.
