Finally learned something in history class. OK was what soldiers reported to the captains or something during the 2 world wars when nobody was killed. the O is actually a 0 and the K stands for kill, 0 Kills on the battlefield. Which means if there were 0 kills, then everything is OK.

Whenever a battle ocurred they counted the deads like this: "14K" if for example there were 14 soldiers killed in battle that day. I f it was "0K" it meant that nobody had died which meant that everything was cool, perfect, and that "0K" lather became "OK".

OK comes from "0 kills" , or so my teacher says. It was used around WWII in a town were they had a huge sign. When people died because of war they placed a number and the sign would say "15 kills" or "4 kills", but when nobody died that day it would say "0 kills" and things would "Okay" I could be wrong but this is the explanation my teacher gave me back in highschool!
