People underestimate Watson’s impact on the team. Even when he ain’t puttin up big numbers, he changes the whole picture with how they set up their defense. Our explosive plays fall off a cliff when he’s not out there stretching the field. Gotta draft another deep threat like him cos he can’t stay healthy.

The Packers offense should focus on these things in order to improve: 1) WRs need to CATCH the football. There were too many dropped passes, especially on 3rd & 4th down. The offense stalls when that is a common occurrence and Reed, Wicks, and Doubs ALL had this issue. Even Watson dropped what could have been a walk in TD. I don't know what drills are used to teach catching the football, but that needs to be a higher priority than what it was. 2) Matt LaFleur needs to innovate. He did a great job diversifying the running game, but now he needs to scheme open the passing game (& maybe not have a WR run to the edge on a 4th & 3 play). 3) Love needs to get better with his fundamentals and his decision making. While his WRs AND his coach didn't do him many favors, he regressed and he needs to drill out and excise the things that harm his play. The good news is that everything that he messed up can be fixed, partly with footwork and partly with situational awareness, but breaking those bad habits will take a lot of time and effort.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that Reed was excelling until Doubs threw his " I'm not getting the ball enough" tantrum... After that they startednforcing it to Doubs. That played a huge part in the lack of Reed's production.

Losing Aaron Jones leadership hurt us this year. I remember in 2023 Wicks dropped a pass and Jones was the first one there to pick his head up and motivate him and he killed it the rest of the year. No one did that this year, and everyone on offense was playing too tight and scared to make mistakes.

Here's my take on having a true number one receiver.. I get the hype about it.. However, as a life long cheesehead, I've seen the pack have a true number 1 and have seen them without.. I'm leaning towards having a number 1 by committee approach. I've seen what happens when you have the number 1.. the guy gets doubled and tripled all the time. Then because he's the number 1, he gets forced the ball. Then if he's having a bad game which happens a lot, the team is handicapped.. Having a 1 by committee approach, the defense doesn't know who's getting the ball so they have to defend everyone. 9 out of 10 games, someone steps up and has a breakout type game.. You never know who's turn it's gonna be... I like that approach totally.

If he is not able to become less predictable then he could be out in 2026-27. Our defensive line is sub par. We keep talking about how they are better but the=problem is they are not great. Poor drafting or scheming or whatever it is the group does not seem to have the talent to impose their will on on offensive line.

@plastkheroКүн бұрын
Ain't no way SEA let's DK go. Gute only gets free agents DK is still under contract.
@kreed4480Күн бұрын
@ DK is entering the final year of his current deal. Seattle has made a lot of administrative/coaching changes since he last inked his contract. He’s likely going to demand big money going forward. JSN has proven to be a great player and will demand money of his own in the next year or two. No doubt there’s an opportunity for an outside team to offer draft picks in exchange for an “older” WR who’s worth $25-$30 million per season. If SEA can flip DK for a few premium draft picks and continue to gather young talent, now would be the time to sell high. Now, it’s definitely out of the norm for the Packers but there’s no such thing as impossible. As for why it could help GB, they’d acquire an incredibly dominate WR1 who will demand double teams, stretch the field and make plays on 50/50 balls, which Jordan Love tends to lean on. Ntm DK is the ultimate athlete, he’s only 27 but the dude could play well into his 30s. And Leflure could use his frame in ways similar to what they did with Lazard and he’s a killer in the run gam. The move almost makes too much sense for GB
@whowahskaКүн бұрын
Whoever is the key receiver, Jordan Love has to read the field better, make better decisions, use his legs and quit throwing desperation bombs. GB defense is way too weak to sustain a sub-30 pt. offense. Comparison to KC is wacko. And LaFluer is NOT a Super Bowl level head coach. He is mediocre Mike McCarthy level. GB's biggest problem is poor coaching, offense, defense, head coach and special teams. But they do sell out regular season tickets. Yawn!
@plastkheroКүн бұрын
Everyone like to defend Lafluer as a winning coach but won't comment on his ability to disappear in the playoffs. The man can't get a team prepared in the first half, this experience has shown his limits and it's time for a change.at HC.

@plastkhero Agree. LaFleur never established consistency with the team. Up and down all year. Then he charged at a Lions fan before the game even started. Very bad example. Totally uncceptable. Then they got way too confident after blowing out the lowly Saints. Then they proceeded to lose going into the postseason. No momentum. No amount of new ringer players is gonna fix that alone. LaFleur is a problem.
