Halford is incredibly talented. His vocal rage is just unreal. Even at 66 years old on the Firepower album his iconic voice was still completely there. Truly the Metal God.

The one and only Metal God. Lemmy introduced me to him when I was 19 years old. Just a beautiful human being - and one of my rock and roll idols.
@StaticYonder Жыл бұрын
Bruh you knew Lemmy?
@jonnyroxx7172 Жыл бұрын
@@StaticYonder Lemmy was very good friends with a drummer in my town named Pete. Pete was part of our local musician circle, so we occasionally hung out. Pete brought Lemmy to my band's practices and shows when he was in town. After one practice, (and me being the youngest member of the band) I got picked to drive Lemmy to the airport to pick up "His friend Rob". Only after we were almost there did I know who "Rob" actually was - and we ended up picking him up at a gay bar near LAX. So within the space of an hour or so, I got to meet and sit and talk music with Rob Halford, learn he was one of Lemmy's best friends, learn Rob was gay, and visit my first gay bar. To say I was overwhelmed by the entire experience is an understatement. They were both really great people - and not in the way I ever expected.
