Why did FireWire force us all to ride Futures or not Firewire? FireWire isolated half the surf community and gave Futures a monopoly on fins leaving customers with less choice or no choice. Not everyone wanted to be forced to start over with fins. It’s not like fins are cheap in 2024, and it’s not like you have fun selections for every model that are suggested or come with the boards. Thankfully Rob sorta makes that easy with at least two models, otherwise surfers who didn’t previously surf Futures are forced to invest in fins from a company they may not know anything about. It’s pretty annoying.
