Before my dad past away, he mentioned all too many times going on safari. Had I known of this place 6 years ago I would of mimicked an African Sagari week with my dad right here in Cali. Now I can live his dream soon!!!!

Just drove by this place and was curious what it was all about. Now I can't wait to go check it out.

Working here with these animals is my dream job. I once raised a Rhea chick (smaller ostrich) actually a ratite from 8 days old, that was for sale at a bird show at the Cow Palace in 2000. She kept coming over to say hi to me in her aquarium she was in, and I fell for her quickly. They are not meant to be solo and I found out quick that I needed to be around her 24/7 Soon she and I were joined at the hip, as they are a flock bird and I was her flock! and I found her a new larger home about 8 months later. They can run 35 mph all day long. Mine loved to be held, very affectionate and was as sweet as could be. The males are deadly and its good I wound up with a girlbird! They are from Argentina and only about 60 lbs full grown. They LOVE music and she would jump up and do 360s when I played good music for her. I wonder if the Langs have thought about having some Rhea females here?
