It's not that simple. I agree Draymond is not as good as he was individually, but he coordinates the defense and offense to an extent. When he sits or is out GS players are not in position to defend( you can literally see him pointing and telling players where to go and when to switch) and ball movement is reduced on offense. He is the player-coach, coordinator, support class, or whatever you want to call him. The Entire team falls if he is not in the lineup.

It’s cute when casuals pretend to understand basketball. One other thing.Celtics are younger and thirsty. Inside game too much for Dray and wing players are much more athletic and younger than G.S. Bad matchup not just not focused.

Old media just jealous Draymond podcast does better numbers than them despite them having billion dollar backing and platform of being legacy media. Funny how his podcast wasn’t a problem the whole playoffs until now. Funny how Horford going out to celebrate his birthday for hours touring the city or any other activity players do on off day isn’t an issue but 20-30 minutes in hotel room after a game is an issue that somehow impacts the game?

So Ben Wallace not a HOFer either? It’s called advanced stats pal like defensive win shares or +/- ratio or value above replacement. Noooo, losing in a blow out is NOT the ‘new’ close game today. The reason there’s blowouts is because of the 3s, but teams then WAVE THE WHITE FLAG very early, so then they end up trading buckets for the last 2min with their bench players - todays close game is being down 6pts with 30sec - whereas being down 6pts with 30sec back then was considered ‘game over’

its not working tho. Maybe the energy required to do a good podcast comes at the expense of playing well? If he plays well no one will say anything but he is not. MJ would play 36 holes of golf then drop 50. So it is case specific.
@omniamericana21722 жыл бұрын
@@dusttaker i agree it’s case specific but MJ example is a category mistake. and if he decides to shut it down on him. He’s been doing it the entire playoffs. I just don’t think there’s a correlation or causality. I guarantee when he’s on the court none of that is going thru his mind. He’s not playing well cause Horford & Williams are the problem not his podcast. Or they’re switching and Poole or Curry ends up as the bottom guy. And you can’t leave the shooters. Podcast not a problem it’s bickering with refs & crowd..and he had 1 good shooting year so.. not improving his shot the last 2/3yrs. I would respect it if Draymond did it through the season and be like I will be back after the Finals. Or did it in the season or Playoffs and just have the awareness to be like I am going to be off for a period of time to work on my game or get right and I will be back after further notice. That way when he is playing bad nobody can point at the podcast which has become so much of a story of the Finals. He's putting too much energy in doing them and responding any time someone is critical of it.
