About to win one of the toughest divisions in football. The Ravens are 0-5 when he has a passer rating below 114 (A passer rating of 114 would be 12th all-time). 6-3 against teams over .500. And people like to talk about Henry, but not about the OL concerns going into the season, the terrible guard play, and the fact that defenders are so keyed in on Lamar that it still creates space for Henry and he's on pace to have his highest YPC average of his entire career, at age 30, when many felt he wouldn't even make a huge difference. Last year the narrative wasn't that the stats don't matter, it was the stats aren't the ONLY thing that matters. If you look at only the stat lines of Lamar Jackson's game, you're not going to see how important he is to each one of those plays. When he scores a touchdown because he gives the receiver 8 seconds to find a way to get open in the end zone because he's juking a defender, then you start to see why Lamar Jackson is more valuable to his team success then just what the raw stats will show. The same goes for this year, would Derek Henry have all the yards he's had if teams weren't also worried about Lamar running? Would Lamar even have the stats he does if he wasn't making sure to buy time to make sure his receivers get open? Definitely not.

Josh Allen had more help than what lamar has had in the last 6 seasons, especially lamars 2019 MVP year. Lamar has never had a probowl WR and Allen has had 2. Allen has had a 1000-yard RB and lamar had to be the 1000-yard RB for his team in the previous seasons. You cant even compare it when you peel back the layers. They're trying to create excuses that dont even exist for Josh Allen.

I will never knock wins. However, here is the problem the committee will have to face Lamar is putting up legit HOF historical numbers. Record book numbers. Now the committee can give it to Allen but the backlash will be loud and severe. Add to that what if Saquon breaks Dickerson's record but Lamar breaks Vick's record? My order is Lamar, Saqaun, Jared, and then Josh. Lions fan here. I have to give my QB some love. Our defense has been hurt damn near all year, missing about three or four all pro caliber guys. The offense has carried, and i really dont think any Joe schmoe could run our team this well. Even in a loss to Josh, he put up 490 and five TD's. 4k yards 33-10 TD's to INT's. He needs a bit more respect this year. Burrow also has a case to right in the convo bad record and all. Rare to see a dude play that well at QB going 8-8.

Allen was 5-5 last year, 8th seed, ended 11-6, which only loss came in OT vs Philly. 0-2 Start when you’re projected 13 wins isn’t worse than a 2-2 Start when your projected 9 wins. lamar getting extra credit for starting 0-2 and losing to the RAIDERS and Burrow gets praised and pushed into discussion if he makes playoffs with 8 Wins!
