I think the difference between how Jordan and Mahomes started their careers is that Mahomes started his career with Pippen, Rodman, and Horace Grant. When Jordan got a good supporting team he won. Mahomes had the benefit of either the greatest or second greatest TE of all time, one of the Top 5 wide receivers, who at the time was the best RB in the league, and a HOF coach when he entered the league. It took the Bulls some years to get that around him.
