Nope. You have a bad memory or only consider his overall rate stats. In 2017, he had multiple late and clutch hits/homers, in 2018 he was spectacular, 2019 and 2020 he was still coming back from injury, 2021 was a one game playoff series, he went 1 for 4. The only thing that stopped him was injury. If not for injuries, he has at least 3 more seasons with 40+. Definitely gets to 40 last year without the injury. And he had 27 one year in106 games, I think he probably hits an additional 13 given an extra 45 or so games. And he had the year with 39 where he missed a little bit of time to non serious injuries (if I recall, he had a bruised hand on a HBP that cost him a game or two)

Dude home runs per game is such a stupidly misleading stat. Home runs per AB is the real measure of a player’s power. And on top of that at least wait until the guys are retired. When they’ve had a chance to fall off. Then measure it. Not in the prime of their careers.
@rickygeiger1243

Judge played 148 games in 2021, 157 in 2022, he broke his toe when a gate broke at Dodger Stadium last year and missed 2 months. It was a fluke injury. This year, hes missed his first game (rest) this week. The narrative Judge is constantly hurt is weird IMO
@snerdterguson
@snerdterguson 2 ай бұрын
There is no opinion on most prolific. It literally just means the guy with the most. You can couch it by saying most prolific CLEAN player. So depending on how you treat the PED guys, the most prolific is either Bonds or Aaron. Best home run hitter is different, for me the stat you use is AB/HR. And since I don't count cheaters, the greatest HR hitter, meaning the player who was the best at hitting homers, is currently Aaron Judge. I think when it is all said and done, I think he is somewhere in the top 5.
