People are forgetting that this bowl game is also the last game Deion will be coaching his son. Going into his first bowl game, he definitely wants his son out there battling with him. I experienced the same thing - coaching my son for the last time in the last game of the season this year. It was emotional and it wouldn't surprise me if that's what's going through Deion's mind. If someone else was coaching Colorado, Deion would probably make Shedeur sit out.

There's a happy medium of course, which is to play them for the first series, then take them out. The guys are being paid now via the NIL, so they have some obligation to play in a bowl game. Bowl games now are recruitment games for potential prospects. Having your stars play a series or two could get a potential recruit to come to the school

Have to say it because everyone is hyping up Hunter without watching Ashton actually play. if you watch every game, you’ll see that he is clearly the best player in America and not Hunter. If you look at the stats, Ashton again wins by a mile …the strength of schedule between the two teams are about the same Boise state was ahead of Colorado for most of the season and they will finish ahead of Colorado in this category by the end of the season so don’t say he doesn’t play anyone also, while he is playing a stronger strength of schedule in Colorado, Ashton is carrying his team to wins and has the sole reason they are about 500 and comfortably were beating the number one team in the nation, except for one lucky punt, and one lucky kick return for scores to allow Oregon to barely win.
