Riyadh - would love to see you interview Olly Alexander. You are both so relatable to those for who the struggle is real. Sending love to everyone who is trying to heal from the things they do not discuss.

@@RiyadhK I’m so excited. Y’all are talking about issues that really need to be address. There’s a lot of importance on coming out and acceptance but no one is really talking about how we are actually going to implement societal changes. Y’all really hit the nail on the head for that one and I thank you for that❤️

I think that being gay will be more socially acceptable when it becomes normal and boring. I do not understand why so many gay men seem to be unable to talk about any other subject. Its like an obsession to tell everyone every time they speak. Surely sexuality is only part of who we all are. Constantly pointing out that someone is gay or black or just different doesn't help and for many has the opposite effect.

being gay has become very socially accepted making it too normal and very boring! was way more fun when there was an element of living a shocking alternative underground lifestyle different from straight people. now it seems gay people are settling down married with a mortgage and kids just like our straight counterparts. as gay people we fought to make our own rules about how we live and I feel we're losing that in light of conforming to heterosexual societal norms.

Yes, being gay is only one aspect of who a person is. And yes many gay men talk about it all the time. And it is absolutely necessary! What so many people like you and Camo Flash, who posted a similar comment to yours, don't seem to understand (likely because in larger metropolitan areas LGBTQ people are generally more tolerated) is that LGBTQ people across America and the world continue to face discrimination in every aspect of their daily lives. While more states every year work to pass laws to protect LGBTQ people, we continue to see state legislatures advancing bills that target transgender people, limit local protections, and allow the use of religion to discriminate. And, that's just to name a few of the many, many issues we face in the US. Do you know that there are still ten countries where being LGBTQ is a crime punishable by death? So, while you may be benefiting from the fact that it is no longer quite as difficult to live openly as it once was, thanks to all of those people who constantly talk about being gay, I would suggest that if you "do not understand" you learn more about our history before you conclude what does and doesn't help.

Paul Lynch I agree my view point is limited to my own experiences living in a big UK city. I can see now that I take it all for granted. I’ve travelled to places like Morocco which isn’t super gay friendly and felt fear over my sexuality. Somewhere like Russia seems even worse!! I really feel the people over there!!
@andrewsutcliffe48893 жыл бұрын
@@PS.LynchArt I surely wasn't aware that these two minor English and Irish celebrities were famous enough to have international viewers. Nobody is discriminated agaist under the law be they gay or black in England. America is full of religious bigots that love to hate as are the ten Muslim countries that you allude too.
