Nice. The lifting brace I made to remove my car body from the frame looks a little like that, but I used a piece of I-beam for the longitudinal member, and an I-beam clamp for the lifting point. So when I needed to adjust for CG, I could just loosen the clamp and slide fore or aft.

Yep, that’s a good idea and he thought about having an adjustable pick point. But without knowing for sure what would happen he just went with the H. Turns out it was all unnecessary. We just need the front beam, the rest just gets in the way as the balance point is very close to the front spar. He already cut off the aft beam and the connecting square tubing.

How similar was your hanging balance tendencies on the wheels compare to the balance with the installed floats? More or less nose heavy on floats or about the same? And how do you feel you nailed it on the flight characteristics? It looks like it gets off the water pretty quick so I'm thinking you nailed it. Thanks for posting!

How long can you fly with extra gallons, 3 normal weight people and search and rescue equipment let's say 200 kg of gear, how many kilometers, I do not understand miles 👍 thaks for the attention

Can you be a bit more specific? What do you consider "normal weight" for people? And what quantity for "extra gallons"?

@@alaskabearhawk wow just checking out your build picks that's amazing your build the frame from scratch (as you mentioned in the video)ps have you thought about metalizeing the fuselage it's easy ( my twin brother and I have a metalized 108 ) that would put you on the map in alaska matt

@@mattwoody1089 Hey Matt... No, I don't like the look of a metalized fuselage. I know it has been done, but it's not for me. As far as the choice you are making between aircraft types to build you have to decide what you will be using the airplane for. The Murphy Rebel and Bearhawk are completely different aircraft. The Rebel is much too small for what I want to do, but that's ok. There are so many excellent choices out there. When you decide what you are using your airplane for it will narrow your choices much more.

@@alaskabearhawk it would be just my brother and I for semi long flights and no heavy hauling ps I like this new bearhawk companion but there is just no information from the two builders it's really good that you you have this build blog it's the best I've seen have you ever been in a bushcaddy (Canadian built )
