Hey man! Good to see ya. I'll be in your NOTW (neck of the woods. trust me the acronym will catch on) soon. Maybe we will get to grab a sammich with ya.

Sounds like a plan. You are also welcome to come over to the house. We can get some pizza or take out. Just let us know and we will see what we can do to get together.

Motovloggers I used to watch either stopped uploading or I unfollowed. My YT recommendations are very different today than from a couple of years ago.

Good to see you out and about on the bike. I never had enough subs to qualify for the money but I don't really care about that. I have not been riding much this spring as we have been getting crazy amounts of rain this spring. I have had over 13 inches of rain at my place in Kansas City since May 1st. Hope your sinus is treating you ok, mine have been fair this spring. Ride safe brother.

The revenue sharing wasn't much but it was a nice incentive. When they dropped me I was owed ~$75. Gotta wonder how much Google pocketed when they dropped thousands of little guys like me that they owed revenue. Just kinda ticked me off. My sinuses are OK for a while then I'll get a really serious attack that lasts a few days. Hope you remain well and that the rain slacks up. We are just into our rainy season. It can be bright and sunny then start pouring outta no where. Take care. :D

Ya know, All the Pacific and Atlantic, Med, I always wanted to meet the old Battle area's. NEVER Expect for Sasebo, Japan. Freaking weird of the US Navy visiting the old Battle sites.

Pop made it back to Hawaii and as I recall wanted to visit Iwo Jima and some of the other islands in the pacific where he was stationed or fought. Never had the chance though.

I know that feeling about making vlogs. I haven't posted one in about 2 years. Keep saying I'm going to do it but it never seems to be the right time. We're finally getting some decent weather here in SoCal so maybe soon. Good to see you on the bike Rob! Take care and rsmf...

Yeah making vids is low on my list these days and even more so doing a motovlog. I was surprised this one came out. I've just abut forgotten how to set up the camera and mic. LOL Weather here is getting hot and humid. I can't wait for fall when it cools back down a bit. Take care brother. :)

Good to see you again my friend! I'm not monetized and never wanted to be. That is just a personal choice. I do it because I want to. Therapy for me.

Good seeing you've been out and about too. :D I was already slacking off on the vids. The demonetizing is just one more excuse for me. It does tick me off they did it the way they did. I figure Google makes millions off the KZbin vids. Being able to earn a little bit myself was a fair deal even though it wasn't much.

I think I made about £180 in all the years I've done it. I've changed my channel now to suit me, keeping the videos of memories I want to preserve. Motovlogging has gone down the toilet with all the channels out looking for altercations or smashing mirrors. I'm thankful for the few friends I've made over the years doing it though. Ride safe mate.

Yeah I appreciate all the folks I've met either in person or virtually through YT. A lot of the motovloggers I watched have stopped posting much if anything at all or only post non-motorcycle vids. Much like myself. Funny but my next vid (part 2 of this ride) I talk a little about this topic.

KZbin has always been a hobby to me. I will be the 1st to tell you I'm not good at making videos. It does aggravate the crap out of me how they changed the rules on people who have really tried.
@RC625 жыл бұрын
I understand they need to weed out the ones ripping off other peoples vids and such (that was the basic reason they gave). What they did to so many small time creators was just wrong. It's always been a fun hobby for me too, a little cash back now and then was nice. Didn't come close to offsetting the money I spent on cameras and accessories but was a cool incentive. Anyway, thanks for watching and subbing. :)

I love that Indian Scout! I remember that video with your dad, yes they demonetize videos for strange reasons. I make some money from my videos, about $100/month, which is pretty ok since I'm not a big youtuber. I'm retired so all money is welcome :) But the videos that make most money is my pond videos, not motorcycle vids. I'm thinking of making more of those hehe
@RC625 жыл бұрын
Yeah the vlogging vids don't get enough views but if you have review vids or how to vids they tend to do much better. I'd like to retire in the next few years. It would be nice to have a little extra income. :D

That or tool vids. The toolbox video I posted already has over 650 views in just a week. My motovlogs tend to max out at 80-100 or so.

i get your vids fully ! i never got into this to make eny money , always turned the offer down since youtube started as a free and unspoiled channel , now google fucked it up i do get people wanting to get somthing back from advertisers and demonitorizing and time spent , but i do it for the fun and to share my pathetic life in this shitty little place i live , some might find it interresting ,PLUS i found nice people like you and navythomas and meny others ,hell i dont even look at my tv enymore !! give us some more vids of you hart , itl be cool !!

I kinda figure somebody (Google) is making money on my videos so I might as well get a little bit of that. Most of my videos suck so I don't expect to get rich but a little cash back is a good incentive. Anyway, its only one of the reasons I haven't been motovlogging or posting more. I am not giving up on it as I do enjoy the comments from my KZbin friends. :D

Don't feel bad for the "not suitable for family" shit, everybody on the whole platform, big and small has been getting hammered by that. It forced most of the big ones to diversify their revenue streams (a lot opened up merch stores) because you never know when some bullshit change like this is going to fuck up your revenue. The policy is crazy, seems like if you talk about anything except mommy vlogs it's not family friendly content. Politics, anything war related, cursing, ANYTHING, they mark it like that, it's nuts. I think this will inevitably push some big creators away from the platform.
@RC625 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's definitely nuts and the review process basically is a rubber stamp saying declined. Some of my vids I could not see what if anything was triggering the policy. And they don't tell you what part of the vid is to blame.
@MrSlowestD165 жыл бұрын
@@RC62 Yeah, been lots of complaints about people having no idea why their video was demonetized. Lots of big channels all like "wtf????". This is why everybody and their brother has a merch store, lol.
