Lying in my bed, I hear the clock tick and think of you Caught up in circles Confusion is nothing new Flashback, warm nights Almost left behind Suitcase of memories Time after Sometimes you picture me I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear What you've said Then you say, "go slow" And I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I will be waiting Time after time After my picture fades and darkness has Turned to gray Watching through windows You're wondering if I'm okay Secrets stolen from deep inside (deep inside) And the drum beats out of time If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost, you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I will be waiting Time after time Time after time I've got a suitcase of memories that I almost left behind Time after time Time, time, time But you say to go slow but I fall behind Time after time after time (after time, oh)
@timbaka14805 жыл бұрын
everybody remembers the song, but few know that this song was written by a Philly band called The Hooters, they wrote it and gave it to a young singer named Cindy Lauper . . . she won a Grammy, they dissed them by thanking, "my band before I had a band." in her acceptance comments. TWO WORDS, you nit, "The Hooters". They wrote her biggest hit, arranged, produced and performed on the studio original AND were in the audience that night. Rob Thomas probably never heard the story, or I'm sure he would have credited them before he sang. Good guy, good version.
