If not for the stupid mentality of this country toward marijuana, we might have been able to debate overrated. But nah, underrated for sure. Dude could do some of everything and, albeit usually a simple character, flat-out got over wherever he went. He has always been authentic and performed well in whatever role given, the athleticism and selling both shining through.

@@InsideTheRopes Underrated by a lot. RVD is a unique performer, with a style all his own. He has been influential, of course, and many wrestlers today try to emulate his spots. But none of them can do it the way Rob did: Rob made it look natural, made it look legit. You could suspend your disbelief with an RVD match. The modern larpers that steal his spots always make it look so choreographed, aka FAKE. I think RVD sometimes gets overlooked because of the way others have copied him. But it's not Rob's fault that they can't pull it off like he could.

People like you have fewer insecurities and probably a greater depth of intellect. Rational people prefer to be around guys like you than hot-heads who may at any moment set off a powder keg. Violence and hostility as an immediate reaction to conflict are signs of poor socialization, lack of emotional maturity, and in some cases abuse. The thing you have to really watch out for is that you don't let people steam roll you, and that you can assert your boundaries effectively when needed. Some of the toughest men I know, Vietnam vets, have seen and done things no ordinary person can process, but are the most thoughtful, rational, calm and gentle people I've ever been around. TL;DR: you aren't a freak.
