Niiice! I got this same bike, same color. Installed an over-stroked (55mm) DHX2 shock for a little extra travel. Absolutely riiiiips with it!

I dropped a Fox Factory Float X 185x55 in mine. Bumps the rear travel to about 147mm and is a 1:1 swap. With the increased sag and a 160mm Fox 38 up front it corrects the slightly steep HTA of the bike in stock form and really makes it a proper all mountain rig!

@@dirtsurfernz weird, seems like my reply got removed. As the other guy said, it's a 185x55 shock (metric, trunnion) that is a direct replacement. No issues with frame clearance at full compression. If you buy a brand new shock, there may be bushings in the lower mount that you have to first remove, but you can get a tool online for cheap.

What happened to your early 90s world cup winner bike rebuild( so what if it pissed it down after your winning run, okay , washing out the chances of anyone betting your time done in almost perfect conditions might have been a factor,.. but a win is a win and your a world champion..) Ive a 1987 XJS in mint condition when stored away 25 years ago, a barn fined rebuild. Sorry to go off on a random note, oh nice spec that bike of yours,, where you storing your bikes ,, not in that container next to the hay barn?? It'll get damp in there mate..😂😢😏😔🤐
