The 1993 SA Touring Car Season ended with rounds 15&16 at the Kyalami race track near Johannesburg. Mike Briggs arrived with his Opel holding an eleven-point lead on the Championship log. A third-place or better would do the job ahead of BMW’s Deon Joubert.
