I'm 64, and had the pleasure, a few years ago, to see Manson. My daughter bought me a ticket to a sold out show. A young girl was sucked into the mosh pit, and knocked out. He stopped the show, had her put on the stage, and he knelt down next to her, held her hand until she came to. Then he jumped up, and got right back into the show!! That must have been a lifetime memory!!

Mr. Struggle Snuggle so many strange things with this comment. But firstly, why does metal or not mean someone is gay? Anyway, Manson plus Rob Zombie.. they’ve accomplished a lot separately, both of which have been seen in the industrial metal scene and onwards. Neither claim to be a specific genre, it’s about expression and how far you can push the general barrier. Both have seen their peak, but both are still highly relevant and have made their mark in the music scene :) that’s what’s cool about it

The most amazing aspect of the Beatles (The White Album turns 50 this year) is just how many genres cover their music. Hard Rock/Heavy Metal has a long, storied tradition of covering the Beatles. This is one of the better efforts as Rob Zombie & Marlyn Manson bring their A game to a song that "inspired" Charles Manson. What I look for in a Beatles cover is how did the artist make it their own as a slavish recreation isn't interesting. Zombie Manson's vocals really make this work along with the industrial feel of the break. You know it's Helter Skelter but you won't confuse this as a cut off of the White Album. That's just what I like. Helter Skelter... it's coming down fast. I've Got Blisters On My Fingers Yeah!

I'd throw in "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" as one of the hardest rocking of the Beatles oeuvre. I also agree with Angel that "It's All Too Much" is a gem of a hard rock song. If there is a "heavy" Beatles song that gets overlooked, it has to be "Rain." I saw the Fab Faux in concert and they really emphasized the amazing bass/drums duo of this 1965 B-Side. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4fJamiie5KBgMk

I waited for that for some longs years... Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson together in a iconic song of rock n' roll! Awesome!!!
@Mrssanaiftikhar6 жыл бұрын
I seen this duo in ATL in August of '18 as my daughters' b-day present. She cried ahhahaha either way, I'd only ever heard of the Motley Crue version of this song an knew it was a Beatles song originally. When they started singing this, I was like *EARGASM* and 1/2 way through Manson's over here dancing an etc. rips the mic cords from the amps an the stage goes silent. I mean you could still hear them playing jus not loudly enough for a concert venue. I was recording it too an was like OH MY GOD I REALLY HOPE A WHOLE MILLI VANILI incident doesn't occur. Outta nowhere, a stage hand comes to the rescue and plugs it all back up. I seriously doubt Manson or Zombie knew that had happened.. still a badass show though! For some reason, made me love my concert experiences even more..

No, I can’t see Tarantino putting this in one of his films, and I’m a Tarantino fanatic. But since you said I guess it definitely seems as if it could be. But not for his 2019 release “Once UponA a Time in Hollywood” Now he might go with straight up Beatles, although he mostly into more of a spaghetti western track, like from Sergio Leone’s films . Idk though it’s Tarantino.

Before you comment - everyone already noticed that Marilyn Manson has the same last name as Charles Manson, and yes, we also noticed that the song is Helter Skelter - no need to point it out - if you get it, we get it.

Dracul I completely disagree. Manson's voice is near unrecognizable these days. I don't know if he needs to practice more or if he blew it out or what, but he's howling at the edge of failure 100% of the time when he screams lately.

Starkiller I'm admittedly a rabid fan of the older material, though I have enjoyed pretty much everything he puts out. I got very excited by Heaven Upside Down from the promotion, and I really like some of the moments on that record. Overall I ended up a little disappointed because of the material, not the performance. The songs are really repetitive, and I'm not sure he really had anything to say lyrically with that album.
@mikame19976 жыл бұрын
It would be really funny if he had same voice now, as he had 20 years ago.. :D kind of grotesque...

Andy Oliphant, nah dude his screams sound fucking fantastic lately. His singing is meh, but he sounds good overall this year. Real turn around. He'll never sound like he did 25 years ago, but he sounds better as of late compared to recent years. Check out his recent performance at Grona Lund.
