Wow, this is simply awesome! So great to see a scale helicopter, and especially one with a distinguished history, flown so expertly and realistically. There's just something about that sound that fires the imagination. I'm a lifelong helicopter fanatic, but a complete newbie to the rc hobby and only just learning the basics of hovering - this video is an inspiration to inexperienced rc helo pilots such as myself. How did he get the blades to sound like that? Most rc helis fail to produce scale sounding blades like this one.

It’s an 800 scale helicopter, so the blades are quite substantial. Even at 500 scale they start sounding like this.

The lower the headspeed and larger the blades are the easier it is to get that sound. My 600 size B212 makes the blade sound very noticeable

Just the kit is almost $1900 and electronics, batteries and radio, you probably looking at almost 4K if not more. Then you can paint it how you want.
