Right you are. I wish they´d record some instrumental stuff or an "old style" dub album.
@tabou18 жыл бұрын
actually, they just released an old style dub album mixed by Groucho: go to taxitabou1.bandcamp.com/album/one-fine-dub-hi-res-limited-separate-tracks-edition wonderful, classic style dub they had put out a series of "classic" dub albums which I see they're selling on that bandcamp store: Dubrising, Free dub, etc...
@x.x.76468 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Just had a listen and I`m sorry to say that I find it quite dissapointing. For me just another Sly & Robbie synthetic dub album. Compared to the Revolutionaries e.g for me this is just a collection of gimmicks.

Well, can't please them all! But thankfully, a lot of people disagree with you and are buying the album.

Rabbie Shakespeare aka Mr Perfectionist doing what he does best . The perfect rythem must sound have everything on par. He will not stop until he gets it right even if he has to spend the whole night to day . That's how Sly and Rabbie work, nothing will come out of the studio until they get it to perfection. This duo work so hard to achieve their goal , endless hours in the studio. I deep sadden by the lost of my friend and Big Brother Rabbie. Gone too soon. I will always remember tou for all those music that you have given to the world for enjoyment. Till we meet again Big Brother.

My sincere condolences to his family and please be comforted by the contribution he made to life during his lifetime. I apologize to use this space to vent on Jamaicans but I was so annoyed listening to the host ruining the beautiful name of Jamaica by calling it Jumaica, and nearly every Jamaican is guilty of ruining the beautiful name of Ja- maica which Ja- maicans from all walks of life now pronounce as Ju- maica simple because Americans pronounce it that way, how the heck does one get Ja, to be pronounced as Ju?..Americans pronounce and use words in a completely different way from other English speaking Countries if you tell an American that your name is Marcia they correct you and tell you no, your name is Marsha, they call a sport that you play with your hands football and a sport that you play with your feet soccer, and they cannot explain how they arrive at that name, they don't use the word feet either because it has no plural the word is always foot, yet everybody listen to them and follow their example even though they're taught right it's very disappointing that we are such copycats and followers, that we will even go against what we are taught in order to be what?....Fashionable?...To be hip?...Keep up with the Jones'es, or just to sound like an American?...I think it's the latter. We should be correcting them as to the proper pronunciation of our Islands name instead of giving in to them, come on people, be your own. best example.😞
