It's so nice that after growing and learning from their mistakes/misunderstandings...Robbie made peace with Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason. They (especially Robbie) were so young and manipulated by music industry people. A lot of problems and they early break up could have been prevented with better guidance. I'm really happy that they found each other again and made very good music. Even with the 3 of them, Howard, Mark and Gary are still one of the best bands ever!

LMFAO, have you never heard of John Lennon and Paul McCartney??? I like the way they harmonize (Gary and Robbie), they’re good, very good, but NOT THE BEST. I can list a bunch who are WAY BETTER: Lennon & McCartney, Tommy Shaw & Jack Blades, Daryl Hall & John Oates, The Everly Brothers, Bee Gees, pretty much all of the old Motown acts. I’m not dissing these 2, I actually quite enjoy them and Take That (my little brother was the one who got me into Take That, I’d never even heard of them until 2 years ago). But to claim they’re THE BEST is just nonsense. Lennon & McCartney are THE BEST, their voices just move through each other so perfectly. Hall & Oates and Shaw & Blades are tied for 2nd. Of course, all of this is just opinions, yours, mine, everyone.

Those who see sexual tension between them don't know these guys have a huge history together: they were childhood friends, grew up together as members of a super successful boy band, then their egos clashed, friendships were broken and both went their separate way. Finally reconnected with my high school best friend after an entire decade this year. We were foolish back then and fought for the dumbest reason- over the attention of a girl and who was better than who. We laughed it off over how young and dumb we used to be. We just couldn't find other friends like each other all these years. We thought of reconnecting multiple times before but ego got in the way. He sent me this song last night and it's spot on!

isn't this the sweetest thing you've seen in years? one thing that seems to not be allowed, is the sweetness and brotherhood between men, who always stay tough and rough...but there is sweetness abd care between friends, and it's beautiful to express it, it doesn't take away an inch of what a man is, instead it makes him complete and confindent

This is a great video. I take my hat off to these two for being man enough to not take themselves so seriously. The Brokeback Mountain references are clearly a parody but they surprisingly play it genuinely. Close friendship mixed in with homoeroticism. There's definitely a strong bond if nothing else and they did an exemplary job in conveying the sorrow and regret of past grievances. A very clever video.

Tbh from the documentary I saw of take that, and just how he is as a person Gary instigated this whole reconciliation with Robbie, Robbie pretty much bullied Gary. When Robbie was going to rejoin take that everyone in the band where against it but Gary and mark, Robbie was always respectful to mark, it wasn’t some big positive trait of mark. Robbie was the harshest to gary, gary publicly admitted his faults that he wanted to be a solo singer and didn’t give the band a chance to do solo shit or lead in music. But once Gary gave them the floor… Frankly, any take that song that’s not for Barlow is shite. Robbie flopped because he lost his Song writer and robbie had a resurgence because Gary wrote songs for him. He was always the talent and the other members just relied on mediocre singing and Gary’s talent.

I made a comment a year ago about both of these guys and wondering why they aren't bigger here in the U.S. Well, now Robbie has a Netflix special and I've actually seen a lot more of Gary too. Americans (and I believe most people) love a good comeback story. I think that if the members of Take That (Gary) and Robbie were to do a U.S. tour where Take That could do their songs and Robbie could do his songs, and they could even sing together on some songs (Back for Good), I think it could be a massive success. I've said it before, both of these guys are brilliant and I know that I would pay to go to their concert. I wonder if it has been brought up to either of them. If anybody knows anything about if that is in the works or not, please comment. Cheers.

hey, I've been a huge Take That fans and Robbie, Gary, Mark solo works for the last five years. And like most of new-ish non UK based Take That fans that I know, we wish they would get bigger beyond their comfort zone in UK and Europe. In the past, they never seem to get the right timing to break through the US. Take That as a whole was already thinking of disbanding when offers from the US started to come in the 90s and then when they got big again in mid 2000s, they seemed to hesitant in trying to break to the US so they declined all offers, personal trauma maybe. Robbie basically stopped promoting his works properly in the US in early 2000s just so he could use the country as his safe space from cruel british media. Gary blew the opportunity and never regain it. Mark never even stood a chance. From what I gather, especially between Gary and Robbie and maybe between Robbie and Mark as well, they have written some songs in the last few years but there has been no news about it so far. Take That has another album coming up with just 3 of them, their third album as "TT3". Robbie obviously with the new documentary that we know already but he also gonna release a biopic movie next year. Speaking about shows in the US, Robbie had done Vegas residency before covid, it went well and could have gone longer if only the pandemic didn't happen. Take That also has plan to do residency but right now they have upcoming tour for their new album scheduled next year in the UK and around Europe, so it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Your description in how they should do the live show is exactly how they did it with Progress tour in 2011. 5 songs from TT4, 5 songs from Robbie's, and 12 songs from the 90s and from Progress. But honestly, I can't imagine how are they gonna do it if next time they are reunited again. Right now we can only assume Jason Orange will never return and then what should they do with four of them except Jason? They can't treat it the way they did with Progress. Take That also has experience without Robbie longer than they are with him. They have unique and tricky situation and they only reveal only tiny fractions of it. Ngl, I wish they could sort it out when the time comes. But it seems they need a lot of figuring out.

How Robbie sings "I wrote a letter in my mind but the words were so unkind..." with Garry harmonizing at a lower octave but then Garry sings "I don't recall the reasons why, I must have them at the time..." with Robbie harmoning at an octave higher.. I've been a singer and pianist for about 27 years now and was actually born and raised in Stoke, the same town as Robbie. Funnily enough I actually have the same sort of smooth vibrato that he has when I'm singing 😅😅 I like singing this song and record the harmonies using my own voice.

It was great to see the two "old friends" collaborate. I love that Robbie left the band for my own selfish reasons, as he made the music I have loved throughout my whole life, and still do. Sadly, without doubt, Robbie needed friends. We tend to think of singers, actors/actresses that make it as fortunate people because they make big money. More often than not, they live a life of existence without happiness. How incredibly sad is that.
