Which is not saying a lot of it. Bloody awful, all of them. So bereft was the pop scene that these talentless, voiceless cretins somehow managed to capture the world (very briefly) they were done in 2 years.

Mel C / Sporty definitely had the powerful voice but Emma / Baby and Mel B / Scary carried a lot of the songs too. Victoria / Posh and Geri / Ginger were the weakest but even they did a lot of heavy lifting supporting the harmonies. All this aside, Sporty is the only one who managed to build a long lasting solo career and still makes original music and performs live regularly.

I think Robbie did really well to answer some not nice questions from an irritating monkey that feels like a piss take of his brilliant movie. Interviewer didn’t do much to help or make him comfortable or respond well to his answers. Robbie is hilarious and this guy just didn’t get him, that’s on the interviewer not on Robbie. Lovely as always to see Ayda supporting him too.

IMO the reason Spice Girls is better as a group than solo artists is because of their harmonies; all their voices blended well, which is a rarity when you think members of one group always trying to outdo each other in singing. Mel C can sing but her voice is a bit "cringy" if you hear it for the entire song. That's why she needed the other four voices to make the song more "appealing" and pleasant to hear. PSA: There is no standout spice girl simply because they are all equals; they all contributed something to the group.
@bjornjohansen968813 сағат бұрын
@@dionisiacano565 Yes. This is so true. Few groups nowadays have any distinctive sounding members. You cant tell them apart. Each of the Spice Girls had their own unique voice and personality that came together to create magic.

The director didn't want to make a boring, standard biopic. So he decided to write it from Rob's perspective. There are several ape references in his music over the years & he's said that he often felt like a circus animal (especially with his boyband Take That), a performing monkey. Since he became famous at 16, he feels his emotional growth was stunted & he's always felt different & unevolved. The film deals with his clinical depression, anxiety & imposter syndrome because of that. It's an amazing film that critics love & so have audiences who've seen it.
@rebecca852517 сағат бұрын
The Beatles weren’t a boy band. They were a rock band. Boy bands are vocal groups that sing sappy love songs and elaborately choreographed dance pop songs.

flopped in America? Americans don't know him. But did it flop elsewhere? Unlikely
@ThatBlokeInJapan-v5pКүн бұрын
this is so awkward to see as a Brit because here is this new big biopic about a bloke (as a cgi monkey) nobody in the USA knows, but billions outside the USA do know, and yet he still has to do all the junkets and bollox over there in the States to promote himself as this big name star for not-really-but-sort-of the intended audience, and meanwhile the interviewers have to play along, acting like they know who the hell he is, making it all the more cringe. what's worse is that those curious now will google his latest stuff, which is utter sh*te, then noting that, probably go down the Take That rabbit hole of whom all of their latest music is sh*te too and so in conclusion will probably think all of us Brits have lost our minds (and taste in music) for liking him, not realizing that back in the 90's him and the lads were gods, and that a lot of people like Robbie not so much for his music but rather because of his frequent appearances on the telly and his 'everyman' image that made him relatable to a lot of working class people, much like Rod Stewart.
