UPDATE! This exhaust wont be sold by DSG Performance. This exhaust is made and sold by a company separately from Karma, please don't see this as Karma making a beautiful kit and a terrible exhaust they only have a few kits at the moment and as a few people used this exhaust they started to sell it. Don't want anyone to get the wrong impression, if you watch THE FULL VIDEO you'll hear me say preferences differ and this one just isnt for me. Hey man. When you turbo the car, it will muffle the sound. What I would do is weld in a resonator before the axle back which will help with sound as well. Cut open the muffler and take out any loose batting you see then weld it back closed.

As soon as you pulled it out of the box and I saw the welds I new it was going to be wild! 😂😂 But look at it this way Robbie, if you like the look you can throw some resonators in line with the front pipe and get all of that rasp out. HOWEVER, since the baffling was already coming out I would say it was poorly constructed. If your going to keep it, cut it open, tack the baffle back into place and pack some more sound deadening material into. That’s why you got a welder AND more content!

The Invidia had a resonator in line. The new exhaust is missing that resonator. You can have one added by a muffler shop that will help a lot with that cold start sound.

Hey robbie I think it would be best if you take your invidia exhaust to a muffler shop and get them to make it custom so it exits from the center. It will still be loud but it won't sound so raspy

Personally, with the valve open, it doesn't sound too bad, just needs a resonator in the mid pipe section to help cancel out the rasp. Might be worth giving that a shot and then going from there.

That little valve with two tips is an electronically controlled valve. comes stock in my Mitsubishi for idle air

Hey, I think the valve thing (what opens and closes the exhaust flap) is rattling. My 335i rattles from the arm that opens and closes the exhaust flaps. It’s really noticeable when at idle and kind of goes away when accelerating. I don’t know for sure but just a thought.

Sound great. Ofcourse will be atbits best after the first 1000miles. And that ratling noise is the valve i think which opens and closes. Mayb fit a rubber ring around it to absorb vibrations. Great vid. 🔥

Go to MufflerMan in New west or Hoegler's in Richmond. Both awesome Exhaust shops. Personally, I like Hoegler's better but I know they are further from you. They both do custom exhausts. You can buy a universal center-exit muffler from Dynomax, Magnaflow or even Flowmaster. Keep the tips off the muffler you got and maybe even cut the dump valve and use it right after the turbo.

Maybe weld some resonators for the mid pipe to tone the loud need and verble down a bit. Also check if there is vibrating stuff near the exhaust.

What most peoole dont understand is that its a brand-new exhaust and most first start ups never sound the best until it carbonates. So drive ut around for a few days to a week then do a cold start the next morning and see how you think. But like you said everyone has their own opinions and thats just my advice!!!
