G'day mate, the boat ramp at Templeton Street in Wangaratta give you access to the Ovens downstream of Wang, although with the river being so low you might not get too far downstream. Google "North Boorhaman Reserve". I'm not sure what condition that boat ramp is in, but I think people still use it.

Looks like you pair where having a ball , kayak fished the lower ovens yesterday 6 hours casting near every lure in the box didn't raise a scale. One of those days i guess but did see 3 black snakes swimming though which was a bit of a highlight.

Hi mate, my legs and back are dodgy, but working. I've just had to really slow down a lot and be careful. I think a 6" zerek Soft plastic is the biggest that I have used, and yes it was for cod. 👍👍
