The 'minnows' look like gambusia (mosquito fish) Robbie. They are a live bearing introduced species similar to the aquarium guppy without the colours. In a couple of frames the dark gravid spot is visible in the pregnant females.

I would like to see you go out one day using one of those old Alvey Bakelite sidecast reels , if you got one. Just for a bit of nostagia
@robbiefishing2 күн бұрын
Thanks Mohammed. I have been thinking about them a lot lately. I don't actually have any, but I grew up using them. An Alvey Sidecast with 30lb nylon fishing line was what we used to use for cod. I remember one day my dad hooked a big fish on a yabby. As he was feeling it in, the line wrapped around the handles of the reel instead of filling into the spool and he had a huge tangle... And lost the fish. LOL
@mohammednovalija2 күн бұрын
@@robbiefishing OMG - Well that was the end of using that reel ever again. I suppose it went to the same rubbish tip with your split cane rods.

Nice underwater fish release they were supreme I’m thinking of getting a GoPro for filming which one do you think is best
@robbiefishing2 күн бұрын
Thanks mate. I use a DJI action 4 for most of my filming. My underwater camera is a GoPro Hero 10 and I also have my old Hero 9 which I use for filming snakes. For regular filming, the DJI cameras are far better than GoPro in my opinion..
