This was such a pleasant conversation. I adore Richard Ayoade but only know him from panel shows where of course his persona is a heightened version of himself. Loved getting to know him better here & seeing him smile so much.

I often see Richard out and about. He seems like a thoroughly nice chap. I think the funniest conversation I've ever seen is him and Bob Mortimer discussing getting the drawings for a backwards toilet.

I'm in art school, in life drawing class currently, and our first assignment is to draw the face of someone who brings us joy. I picked Mr. Ayoade! Sat down to start my assignment and this was the first suggested video that popped up when opening KZbin. The Universe works in mysterious ways 😂

the fact that Richard has never been on WILTY is a crime against british comedy. I also just learned recently he had been willing to be on Taskmaster, there was a point during the first few series, but he had scheduling issues with Travel Man

Richard comes across as being very warm and natural in this interview. I’d previously found him a bit awkward and uncomfortable sometimes. I like him even more now.

When he is on, it sets the bar for the interviewer very high. IMO, the only one other than Rob that has succeded in following Richards wit is Craig Ferguson.
