Coming from someone who lost his father at the age of 15, I'm 56 now, I can tell you that Aiden is hurting and will be for a long time. You guys did something for that young man that will ease some of that pain and teach him that there are still good people left in this cruel world. God Bless you Robbie and Team for making this a special Christmas for this family. Love your channel and love what you do!!

Well said. I lost my father at 20 years old. I'm now 77 and still think of him everyday. Aiden seems to be a very quite young man, but I have to believe he is bursting with pride and joy to get a piece of his father back in the form of this truck. Robbie, you and your team are phenomenal and all around great human beings. Thank you for such a wonderful story. Merry Christmas to all of you. Keep up the great work.

I really felt for Aiden. I can just imagine the stress of being a 16-year-old and being the centre of attention in this way, it must have been overwhelming for him. He is obviously a quiet, introspective young man who must have been experiencing so many emotions, all with a camera pointing at him. I am sure he was bubbling with gratitude and excitement on the inside. I hope he keep the truck forever.

To all the companies and people who helped to sponsor/build this truck, I/we want to say thank-you. That, along with the countless hours the Layton crew put in and the Layton gear that the viewers bought to help fund the project. Thank you all. Sincerely!! Aiden had his guard up and I am certain he was holding back a flood of emotions, I would hate to play poker with that young man. The montage at the end captured it beautifully! Seeing him and his sister out being young and having fun was heart warming and you guys made it possible. The shot of your crew watching the truck drive away was so powerful, with mixed emotions of "Thank God it's finally over" and "I hate to see it go". I was a very shy and awkward teen a very long time ago. Don't hold it against Aiden being as reserved as he is being. It can be weird being filmed and being the center of attention when you are not used to it and don't want the attention. I could tell he was grateful. Top that off with all the emotions of being his late dad's truck. He did great.

I hope we see Aiden back on the show at some point to get an update and I'd like to see if a detailed list of the original parts could be posted. I hope this young man has learned from the experience that when you get the opportunity pay it forward. I've innocently helped people in need and when asked for info so they could pay me back, my response is always the same. When you can just do the same for someone else. You and the people who you are involved with are some of the best people in their communities. Keep doing what you do because in my eyes you and yours are the best at your jobs. I'm 57 years old and my pride and joy is the 1968 GTX 440 4 speed that my dad left me when he passed away from cancer. He's been gone now for 38 years and i'm sure that this truck will as priceless to Aiden as that car is to me. All these years later and i can still feel his presence riding with me every time i take it out for a drive especially when it's just me and him. He bought it when it was brand new and i can remember a thousand times that he drove me around in it. Since he's passed i've gotten to drive him around. I hope that this truck brings Aiden as much joy as my dad's old car has given me. I think calling it a car is wrong though, it's like family to me. Thank you guys for doing this for Aiden and his family and helping to preserve a part of his father that he can not just feel in his heart but touch with his own hands like his dad did. You guys are amazing people. I pray that God helps heal Aiden and his family's pain and sorrow. I also pray that God will reward you for doing this for this family, not that you would ask for it but because you all deserve it.

I hope Aiden and his sister have millions of smiles on the truck. As a father of 2, now adult, children, I can’t stress enough to ALWAYS wear your seat belt. No exceptions, no excuses. My dad was in a serious car accident when I was 14. Lucky for him, he walked away from it. From that day since, I put my seat belt on before the car moves. It was a rule I passed to my kids. Hope to see Aiden helping on projects going forward. Especially ones where he can show his blossoming talents. Well done fellas! Many of us lost our fathers very young and this hit home hard. Guys like y'all showed up for us and helped many of us on our road to becoming more whole. Like I mentioned I hope you invite him back to join your team sometime.

I just saw this video for the first time, and I have to admit I have tears in my eyes!! To Bobby, the crew, and all who helped by donating the parts and your time with the build, you guys are amazing. My heart goes out to this young man and his family because of their loss. They now have something, along with other memories, by which to remember a husband and dad. You all did an awesome job with the restoration. May you guys feel blessed for your contribution.

That young man has no idea how to react. You and I both know, he'd give 10 of these trucks to have his Dad back. I feel so bad for the entire family, wish them the best, God Bless them, and YOU Robby and Crew. Merry Christmas

No lying, got wet eyes watching this, y'all done a real good thing here. Hats off to the entire crew, and the quality of work they put into this build. Such a lucky young man, and wonderful family to have been helped in such a way. Great job, Kudos to the entire Layton crew, and all those who donated their time and expertise to accomplish this feat.

He might be a man of few words, but Aiden was clearly overwhelmed with the generosity. Great job fellas, the truck couldn't possibly be any nicer.

Robbie, crew and everyone who helped with this project. I say thank you for giving him something to remember his dad. I am in the opposite situation as I recently lost my youngest son. He and I built cars together and I have a project car sitting in my garage. I will hopefully get it done to honor him.

What you did for this young man is amazing. Unfortunately he is emotionless and still lost, but I'm sure deep down he appreciates what you all did for him. I lost my father at a young age and it took about 30 years to get the chip off my shoulder. Great job nonetheless.

What a great video to watch this Christmas morning. Thank you to the entire crew, even to Santa and the Grinch for their shenanigans. You’ve got great help from the Boss, the kiddo crew (with them awesome jokes), the “down and dirty” crew, the video help, and awesome sponsors and even those who throw in a little extra help, like them guys down in Glendale - thanks for the cookies too. Way to go….bringing us all to tears on Christmas morning. The shots of them using the new truck for sledding was a very nice touch at the end.

Man I don’t ever shed a tear but this did it man. I love you guys. That’s the biggest thing anyone could ever do for that young man and you can see it’s a nice present for him but it hurts knowing it was his dads. Enjoy that truck Aiden they did a lot to it. Robby you guys keep up the good work.
