A trick we used to do for dented tanks was that we would get a cheap cap that fits the tank. drilled a hole in the cap, fill it with pressurized air. The dents usually all came out with in a few seconds

with thin tanks like this you should be able to use a pressure washer to push out the dents. look up hydroforming.

Fill and cap the gas tank with the Argon mixture from your mig welder. It will displace the O2 in the tank.

We fill the tank with argon gas when welding, never had a problem.

In a pinch I've thrown some dry ice into the tank and then tape off the gas fill port. just poke a little hole for pressure to come out. Tank is inerted by CO2

It's pronounced "Bom-bar-dee-ay" up here in Canada, but Bom-ba-deer is also acceptable. Ones like the Bombardier B12 with tracks and front skis (or wheels) are used around Ontario by ice fishing companies as customer shuttles on the lake. Many are fully restored with custom graphics and paint and are nicknamed "Bombers".

Robby Layton, go to Harbor Freight and get a cyclonic dust collector #57194, an empty 5 gallon bucket, attach it to your blast cabinet on the exit end and a vacuum on the other end. It will remove all the dust and debris while blasting and the vacuum filter will be clean. After installation, visibility will not be an issue until your viewing glass becomes blasted. Best deal in the world. I also keep an extension magnet handy in case something falls into the bottom of the cabinet. I converted my cabinet to gravity feed from suction feed and I now have one of the most inexpensive cabinets that allows me to blast until my 5 hp compressor cuts out from overheating. Periodically check your vacuum filter and you will be amazed at how it stays clean.

If you have to weld on a gas tank, wash it out using Dawn Dish soap. Dawn breaks down the petroleum based fuel releasing it from the inside of the tank. If you can wash it out with a steam cleaner using Dawn, that's better yet. I worked for a company called Fas Tank Renu which refurbished steel gas tanks using a plastic coating to seal the tank which is baked on at 400°F. Also we had to cut a 1 inch hole for draining the excess plastic material out and sometimes had to weld on the tanks both of which could have caused explosions from gas vapors. We did well over 1000 tanks while I worked there and never had a single problem. We did use a fuel sniffer to verify the tanks were safe but I don't recall ever having to clean a tank a second time after we had steam cleaned the tank using Dawn.

We had the same problem with insulation in hangar ceilings that were too tall to reach. A few well Placed shots with a not too strong BB gun helps get that water draining out pronto.😉

Use to Tig Weld Aluminum Diesil tanks all the time. Purged them with CO 2 and had a Monitor watching The gas Regulator to make sure it didn't Freeze up.

OH WOW Robbie The Water in the insulation reminded Me of a Time long ago back in the 80's. Working above the Suspended Ceiling in the Exact type Building You have but only lower. There was Sheet Rock over the Insulation with a Vapor barrier in between. The vapor barrier Trapped Water from the leaking Roof, and when it got too heavy it started busting out the Sheet Rock. The only thing holding up this bath Tub size thing of Trapped Water was Ductwork, Sprinkler Piping, conduits Etc. And to make matters Worse was it was Directly over the Desk of the President of the Company. They took a very Large Funnel, taped it to the lowest point. and waiting with a 2" hose, poked a Hole in the Plastic through the Funnel. hoping that the Plastic would not rip...

You need a divorced transfer case. Ford 1960's. I'd recommend reading the tag to get the correct model. I'd also recommend the low dock box. Get a extra low set. So you can crawl it out of everything.

Many, many years ago I had a 1932 Lanchester in the UK. The fluid flywheel worked very well, but due to its age the material of the fluid flywheel housing became porous. The porous housing leaked fluid so it needed to be topped up frequently. Considering the age of the Snowcat, this might be the issue as to why the fluid needs topping up.

hook an air compressor hose to the fuel outlet of the tank and it will it will expand the tank and push the dents out.. it works soooo much faster than the way you where doing it..

I run the exhaust from a mower or generator in to fuel tanks, the carbon monoxide drives all of the oxygen out and I've never had a problem. Not yet.
