My comments were meant for the organist. Obviously, he has talent otherwise I would have said nothing. My intensions were to get his attention in relationship to how better create variations on a theme. I've been a piano and organ teacher for years and worked in Hollywood for some time. When and/or if he chooses to rise to the occasion, I'm sure... in the spirit of good will, we (he and I) will have much to share and great fun in doing so. I hope you not his mother. Sincerely. CVD

As to why I did what I did: that's a good question. But I didn't say a five year old could do it better. I said a fifth year organ student could do it just as well. I did what did for shock value to get his attention (not yours). However, the actual process of learning how to create interesting variations on ancient themes is a rather lengthy process and one I am somewhat hesitant to initiate. In short, it's a rather long winded process and can't really be expressed in a few emails. And no, I'm desperate for his attention. But I did hear something of real beauty and passion in his playing. I also intuited his dedication in service to The Christ. If we can listen, we can grow and improve upon those talents God has us. That's a big "IF." Sincerely, CVD
