Robert Caro, author of 'The Power Broker', discusses his book and the legacy of Robert Moses, in this rather adversarial interview. If anyone knows who the interviewer is, please let me know and I'll add the info.

I've read all Caro books but the Power Broker, and am reading it now. It unfolds better than a novel. Caro is a treasure to read. Brilliant author!

Amazing to hear him talk about this book so soon after publishing, thank you for sharing. Where did you find this recording?

I'm not sure--- maybe the U. of MD, College Park. Do you think Caro will finish his LBJ bio?

Thanks a lot for posting this! It's hard to find interviews from this early in his career (and also interviewers that ask critical questions which allows Caro to show his mastery of his research in a different way). Btw, at 6:32 he seems to call the interviewer "Casper" - which Casper it is, I don't know

Interesting. Just finished the book, and there was one laugh-out-loud moment - when Rocky ousted Moses from power by checkmating his "bonds as contracts" maneuver with his brother's bank - who was the bondholder's trustee.

Who is the interviewer? What a rude person. I love Robert Caro. He is a genius and really Always knows his subjects/facts.

I believe the interviewer may be Richard Heffner, original host of PBS' The Open Mind.
