I live like 30 km away from where his relative were, and their surname is quite common over there and it's actually "di niro", but here in italy it's quite common to have surname that are relative similar to each other apart from the preposition, so you can easily find surname with "di..." or "de.." or "del.." followed by the same word.

Ricky's right about actors who are so self-important but DeNiro is also right that he has a right to speak out as a citizen. It's not his fault he happens to be a famous actor with a big platform. Ricky is a bit of a hypocrite anyway. He uses his platform to speak out for animal rights and atheism, which I think is great, but is really no different than the celebrities he's constantly roasting.

I know De Niro is not 100% Italian but it’s still so nice to see a fellow empathetic Italian who’s disgusted with this farce of a President!
