He was just sort of remarking about how 5 years ago he felt he was the force that brought together all the pieces for the Iron Man movies, including getting Gwyneth Paltrow to agree to play Pepper Potts, and eventually the culminating result of the Avengers. In hindsight, he sees his role in a completely different light and being part of a greater movement in film and pop culture.
