I believe Robert Fleischman knows Vinnie more than everybody else. He not only worked with Vinnie on the VVI debut album, he also worked with Vinnie on the unreleased Guitars from hell from 1989-1991 and then Euphoria EP and Guitarmegeddon project in 1995-1997.

Very underrated vocalist.

I agree. Fleischman has a great voice and he is very versatile. He can sing lots of different styles and genres. I loved him on the first VV Invasion album!

For those of you pointing out that people are talking: There were rows of seating in front of the stage and vendors surrounding all of that seating. All the people seated for the interview were quiet. The talking you hear are all the vendors and convention goers talking/interacting at the vendor tables.

I love the first VVI record. Phenomenal. Paul and Gene should have given this man whatever he wanted. Their loss.

Modern society, it's got like that at gigs over the years too, your all right, total disrespect to the artist and event, if those in audience who were talking, why did they bother going? They should stay at home or go outside and show some respect, let Robert speak and those who want to listen enjoy the show.
@tod3msn5 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Rob is a walking history of rock music and folks are walking around eating their sandwiches while drinking beer. Probably were too busy drinking and eating to pay attention. I'm sure there were many present who did not wolf down their food and drink their beer but they sure were loud.

i think there should be a vinnie vincent reunion. vinnie. robert. and if they can bring bobby rock back on board great. not sure if dana strum would leave slaughter to do it but it would be cool if he did. the vinnie vincent invaision reunion vinnie. rob. dana. and bobby. i would love to see that. yeah it might take a while since they havent performed together in years but i think they could pull it off.

George Larson do you no realize Slaughter was the Vinny Vincent Invasion with out Vinny. Vincen?
@georgelarson5947 жыл бұрын
mike lambert. yes i do if youre refering to mark slaughter joining v.v.i. after robert split after the first invasion album was released leaving the band without a singer. and then later after the 2nd invasion record mark and dana desolved vinnie vincent invasion and went on to form slaughter so yeah.
@highnumber94947 жыл бұрын
Be tough because the original VVI is so much a part of its era. The image overshadowed almost everything else. As talented as these guys are, they are in their 60's. VVI would be tough to replicate. They could play the tunes acoustic or just straight ahead without the weight of the VVI legacy.
@xetexuk127 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't happen, too much bad blood with Slaughter and Strum, from back in the day. But I do think Fleischman - the better vocalist - will work with Vinnie again, hopefully.

I agree. It’d be AWESOME to see a VVI reunion !!!!

Is that Tommy from Three Sides of the Coin as interviewer?
@freemanjohn727 жыл бұрын
Yes
@michaelr.48787 жыл бұрын
Yep! Thank goodness that it isn't Michael from 3Sides doing the interview. There would be endless interruptions and he'd ask questions that no one would to hear. Plus the constant 'but, but, but, but, but, but
@freemanjohn727 жыл бұрын
You nailed it I love three sides but it really irritates me when Michael keeps interrupting the guess he's interviewing and not letting them finish their story like he did last week to that guy who film The Kiss documentary for TV the guy didn't even get to finish some of the stories I really wanted to hear when he kept saying oh I got a good story about that and kept getting interrupted making him forget about telling the story So you are 100% right about that.

Robert - I wish you the very best. // I knew about you - from the debut 'V.V.I.'-album, but Mark was already in - covering over what you'd done; so my real introduction was years later - first seeing the 1977 'Diamond-Head Crater'-show (with 'Journey'). (You're a kick-ass vocalist - already established; and you & Vinnie will (I assure you) be a power-house - if you stay together. You're not out-of-date - so don't worry about that. The main-stream only ditches what was in the past, but - we're growing older with all of you. The 1970's-1990's are still here - if we just move as a unit together. This will be a permanent occurrence - if you guys will let it.) You don't have to bow to Plant. You're Fleishman. Rock the shit out of this new opportunity. The fans will know your works by heart - as you knew 'Zeppelin's! You & Vinnie have got "it". Now just find a bassist & drummer - on your level. Make sure there are no contractual- or personality-glitches, and this ride won't end. // On the other side of it - see if you can get some-one to fund a new show like "Head-Bangers' Ball" or "That 'Metal'-Show". The reason I say this - is because we need a mutual plat-form to show-case "rock"-bands, like t.v. did in the past. Make it an "event". I miss tuning-in on Fridays / Saturdays - to view those shows, prior to "rap" & "reality tele-vision" ruining what 'M.T.V.' & 'V.H. 1' used to be. Well (with-out sounding like too much of a fan-boy here) - this makes me happy to see you guys together. (I was in high-school - when the 'V.V.I.'-stuff came out, and I feel it's here again.) Take care; we'll be waiting (with cash in hand) - for what-ever you guys release. (Even if 'V.V.I.' just over-dub their farts.) Yes! Andrew (Tues., 1-23-18) (7:55 p.m.)

It was a BIG room, with tons of dealers in it. The expo had about 1000 people at it. About 700 were sitting and watching, while about 300 were shopping, chatting, etc. The room echoed the people talking, making it seem on video MUCH worse than it was. Most people were very excited to hear what Robert had to say!

I naturally figured, Xete, it must not be in closed hall but ringed by convention booths. It helps he has a microphone or we'd never be able to decipher him. Wow, lots of rock side history. No idea he was Steve Perry's predecessor in Journey. Cool cat.

Surprised the debut VVI album hasn't reached gold certification yet considering that the VV comeback has made a small boost in sales It came pretty close to reaching gold back in the day, I think 450,000
@christophervigil77292 жыл бұрын
It ACTUALLY reached Platinum (one million in sales) status. But like so many record companies do, the record company screwed Vinnie out of sales.😓

I cant for the life of me to this day understand the appeal of the Beatles or why so many of my heros we're influenced by them but ok
@1otonhammer387 жыл бұрын
I have nephews that say the same thing about Kiss, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ect. There's a generational gap.
@franklinfx7 жыл бұрын
1oTon Hammer I don't think it's a generational thing because I listen to a lot of 50 60 70s and 80s rock... the who, the stones and The Kinks even The Troggs we're a better band with much better songs than the Beatles but they get nowhere near the recognition
@1otonhammer387 жыл бұрын
+Mike Deluca Idk in that case. I've always admired The Beatles for what they accomplished. Its not very often that a band is better later in their careers. They also managed to completely reinvent themselves in that era. That's almost impossible in any generation.
@Jesus_Advocate416 жыл бұрын
...Dude...listen to "she said, she said" and realize the year, then revisit this question. You have to put the Beatles into the proper perspective, music was way different, the process of creating and publishing, everything. Listen to Jimi Hendrix's "are you experienced" , he totallly ripped off the Beatles; one of his biggest influences...no Beatles, no Jimi Hendrix
@fisherohvf-men6236 жыл бұрын
yes, I posted before iIfinished the comment, I meant to say No Beatles and No "Are you experienced" Jimi has been known anecdotally to have said he liked what the Beatles did in the studio on that album and that this was what he was going for on that tune.
