Not hating, but this doesn’t really take a lot of talent. I was doing better as a teenager almost 20yrs ago. All you do is start deck B a half beat after deck A. Slow it down, play on on deck B, and slide to deck A when you want to chop it.

@@OakCliffTX82 hmmmmmmm I mean, if we're listing credentials, I started music lessons at age two and I'm now finishing graduate school for cello performance at a top conservatory, and I still think this is talent... PLS projects an awareness and sensitivity towards the music and only gives what it needs. Of course the technique may not be complicated, but what use is elaborate technique when the quality is evident and the intention is meaningful? As is often the case, less is more. This performance resonated with me.

@@OakCliffTX82 I'm trying to say that talent isn't being a virtuoso, it's listening to and understanding the music. Consistency is a talent; have you seen Purple Light Special's output?

@@vlcec right, and if this were a yo-yo ma video, my credentials w/ chopped and screwed music wouldn’t be as relevant. I’ve got actual bonafides too... the comment section of KZbin just don’t warrant that discussion. I’m just asking what is “mad talent” about slowing down someone else’s music, using someone else’s style, and then just standing there and doing a few chops? It’s not a knock on the vid, I’ve watched a lot of his vids, so obviously there’s some level of entertainment. It’s not even a slight at you for thinking that. I’m just wondering how you arrived at that conclusion? Have you listened to any other DJ’s that do Chopped & Screwed music?
