@@aliceIMF For this, anything on snare that's not 2&4. The "drum & bass" part of the snare part that he's holding down with one hand, playing open and not buzzing as if it's easy.

@@aliceIMF when you play notes, near your snare shot or basically every kind of sound, you're creating some feedback, space filled with mid-high frequencies. To put it simply you're playing your ghost notes lower in volume in half or more till you'll hear only delicate click and even more of kind of rustle, especially when compared to max volume peak levels during same track.

(my mom was a music major who had her master's and was the music superintendent for our school district when i was growing. i also played piano - and read music - when i was growing up.) but now you've gone and gotten all hyper-technical and detailed and confused tf outta me! ... gtfoh with your sound, rational, and accurate music theory-based explanations, no one!!! carlton white I’m not sure if he played for Gretchen, though I wouldn’t rule it out. I’ve mostly seen her playing with Kendrick Scott and Mark Guiliana. I know Colenburg’s played with Q-Tip (on ‘The Renaissance’), Common, Glasper Trio (before the experiment), and HEAVy
