I know it gets tiring to see “Namjoon brought me here” comments but I’m so glad he did. I love lyrical rap with jazz elements like this but it’s hard for me to find. Such a beautiful song and message. Thank you :)

Bilal is the voice of consciousness. You hear him on so many hooks from the SoulAquarians to Kendrick, to Lupe, to The Roots, etc. He's always there- lending his voice and reflecting exactly the soul of the African diaspora.

I grew up in Kuwait and in the music shop my mum shopped at, they had his poster up of that exact album you are speaking of, it is yellow/orange and in touch with the hues of the desert, it stood out to me always when my mum would go to the shop to get her Arabic music tapes. I swear that was in the late 90s also...but your comment touched me as a arab born in diaspora

Lupe is communicating with us even through a higher subconscious level, He's a poet, a new array of music he brings. It's so good, in fact it's too good you ain't even gotta listen to what he's saying.. Just pay attention to everything around you.. ;-)

I have pretty traditional tastes in Jazz, but I love this fresh update of the genre by fusing it with Hip Hop and contemporary R&B for a modern take on what Jazz can be in Century 21. Turning to contemporary culture for renewed inspiration--hey, it's an old Jazz tradition.

The brilliance of this LP never dulls. No one is bringing it better than RG these days. As an older man, raised on Miles, his contemporaries and his players that went off to establish themselves as groundbreakers and fusion greats, this young man brings back powerfully something i thought was fading to black...But now, from black, Black Radio. Joyous again.

I came here thanks to Namjoon. I really love the song, it's so good ! I really like to listen to various genre of music but it takes time to discover new songs.. I just want to tell to ARMYs: please don't just write in the comment section "namjoon" "Namjoon brought me here". Maybe you don't know but it can sounds disrespectful for the music and some people and I also think so. Let's be thankful that namjoon brought us here because this song is really amazing💜 please take a look to the lyrics also ;)

there is nono such thing as real blackness, that neo-blackness is being black in the current moment and all the complexities that comes with, from the sagging pants at morehosue college to the handshakes and ebonics on the set of black panther, from the girls poppin bublegum and ass in the clubs of inner city neighboorhoods to the snabpacks over small dreads of the women on the corner hustling . Lupe Fiasco, who is featured on this song, made a song called 'Hood Now' go listen to it, appreciate all blackness if we dont, who will?
