Dilla's sample of John Hicks' 'Dierdre de Samba' on Jay Dee 30 from his King of Beats instrumental album is a piece of genius. So much feel and emotion in such a simple loop. Hits hard

tbf Premier during his prime often took very miniscule portion of some samples and the end result often didn't even sound remotely close to what the sample sounded like originally meaning that some of the dopest Premier beats often come from some boo-boo ass samples that Premier flipped so well that when you hear the original you ask "how in the fuck did he hear that"

ATCQ, don't know if it's Jazz persay but as a former Tenor Sax student, the Sax combined with Minnie Riperton in Check The Rhyme are epic AWB (Average White Band) Love Your Life. honorable mention to De La Soul, EGO TRIPPIN PT2, Al Hirt Harlem Hendoo, honorable mention to Large Pro/Main Source Friendly Game of Baseball, Lou Donaldson Pot Belly, and honorable mention also to ATCQ for Push it Along, Grover Washington Loran's Dance and perhaps even Pete Rock #1 Soul Brother. a slowed down Xylophone is all kinds of Jazzy, The Silhouettes Conversations.
