Meredith showed you great respect as she drooled all over your dancing ability. I enjoyed you sharing how you gave back to your father. That's something many more leaders should take notice of, especially as Father's Day 2015 is around the corner.

Hello Robert Herjavec I am touched and also motivated by your story. 7 years ago I was rendered disabled by a doctor who made a serious error during a procedure on me in the ER. This happened at a time when my children were 3 and 6 - and who are now 10 and almost 14. I went from being a successful woman with my career and an involved person with my family and hobbies and social activities to finding that getting out of bed every day is my biggest challenge. Previously, I was the youngest ever woman promoted to manager within my group at Nortel Networks. At age 27 I was managing a group of 10 engineers, all men and all older than me, some by decades. I also used my brain in other ways - I did 2 extra certifications in natural health, became a spinning instructor, raising my kids, looking after my family... And then on April 6, 2008, those doctors messed up and I lost the ability to keep up with any of it and for the last 7 years the struggle for a life has been very very real. I have watched you on Dragon's Den (I am Canadian, from Ottawa) and I have followed your story from your divorce through the hard times and then with Kym on DWTS. I keep trying to find my 'way out' from the hard times and into the light again - I try but my disability (brain) stops me every day. In my head, I am like you, positive thinking, wanting to learn, looking for new challenges. I haven't figured out yet how to take what I have learned from you, and from what happened to me, and turn that knowledge into some forward movement in my life - but for now at least I know that my story is not over yet. Thank you so much. Lynda (age 43, disabled by a spinal tap gone wrong in the ER in 2008).
