I have no memory of her but I do have videos and pictures and that makes me happy. All my life i aimed to make my dad proud but at the same time I was so lost and scared of losing him that I never had the courage to talk to him about life after he’s gone... he also never got to see me graduate high school and that thought never went away either 😞 I miss you dad. Erik. This is copied & paste from Wiki. It shows both reason are right my friend 😃🖖 Miles gave two inspirations for the writing of "Children". One was as a response to photographs of child Yugoslav war victims that his father had brought home from a humanitarian mission in the former Yugoslavia;[4] and the other, inspired by his career as a DJ, was to create a track to end DJ sets, intended to calm rave attendants prior to their driving home as a means to reduce car accident deaths.[1] The song cost £150 to record.[5]

My mom passed away back in 2015, I remember she had a very diverse, extended taste in music. I forgot how much she loved this particular song until recently when it was randomly suggested by my youtube app. Its like how did it know she liked this song so much to suggest it to me? Crazy, I know. But I never really listened to this song until now. It hits me deep because my mom loved this song. I get it. I listen to it now knowing that some way through time space and exsistance we are both listening to this song. Knowing she probably did alot of deep thinking to this song, probably smoked and unwinded after a long day or event. This song was one of her get away songs I feel. I miss her. Alot. For me, this song has both a sad and a happy side to it. Taking the song title into account, it reminds me a lot of how simple and fun the days where when I was young, yet it also makes me think how the naive, overly positive, outlook on life I had back then turned out to be wrong. Contrary to what one believes as a child, life isn't just always going to be great, it will go downhill many more times than one thinks. Still, both sides hold some truth; life isn't awesome all the time but it tends to present a lot of good opportunities to you nonetheless.

I had no idea he'd died, too. Was delving through some old trance and this was recommended and clicked on it for the nostalgia and just saw. This song will never die.

as a DJ for 3 years i honestly must admit music can be beautiful in any type of era, just in modern times a lot of horrid genres started springing up like porn-grind and poorly made hip-hop. back then in the 70s-90s there was horrible music that was still made but now if you tune into a local radio station you get mostly music that appears to be done by amateurs who don't have a pleasant taste for music especially here in the US. this song maybe done in 1996 but still surpasses a lot of modern artists out there.

Well, tastes are different for everybody. Some people like Justin Bieber, others like porn music, which is also an area where multiple types of music can be used, some like the sound of an electric guitar and drums (Rock, Metal), and some like rap, and hip hop. There are also lots of folks dying for country music, and electric ones, like Techno, Eurobeat, Disco, dubstep, etc... the list can go on.I personally love music from Rock/metal, electric and rap/hip-hop genres. I personally attempt to rap a lot. I used to love Alcazar too, although they used other songs to make some of their own (And their "best" btw). Like "This is the world we live in" was made of Diana Ross' "Upside Down"s rythm and the main lines of "Land of confusion" with some rather lame rhymes added to it. Which is sad, because Genesis' Land of confusion was a message to humanity, in their usual parodic style.

That is true, today's songs are not comparable with the olden days songs example (Techno, is it better than dupstep?) it's up to people's opinion but in my point of view techno is always better it gives u a sensation that might even make u cry but dupstep? No it's making ur head go jiggle and wiggle it's just not a type of song to release stress and get relief "Songs without meaning is just talking instead of singing"

dub-step is by far one of the worst genres because of being scrap-made. the simplicity behind dub-step is just using a disk jockey while techno is more complex to design. unless if your speaking of melodic/liquid dubstep or IDM which are recent genres that are enjoyable, yet similar. personally i enjoy IDM along with a few melodic dubstep, but still classic trance/techno you are not likely to gain a headache from.

Lupa Spirit Thou shall hear the music in good old 90's futuristic racing games, like Motorhead: High Velocity Entertainment (Don't confuse with the metal band Mötörhead). Or Wipeout, or Magforce Racing (Also called Killer Loop).

It's very true dupstep is like nothing (rose with no beauty) techno is (rose with beauty) this means (dupstep no meaning no nothing) (techno with meaning and love sometimes)

Rest in peace, Robert Miles. The first time I ever heard this track was on a late night BBC Radio 1's essential mix at around 3 am sometime during 1996 and I was mesmerised.

Did Robert Miles die? I did not know this. Children (Dream Version) was the first song I heard; it was playing at Hastings in Lawton OK, on the speakers throughout the store; I bought the cd before I left....the whole cd is awesome.

How beautiful it is that this track was a part of our childhood, and it's literally called "Children" as if it was meant for us to bring us back to that period of time.
