Needs to resign immediately. This was covered up for decades, and it appears that Morris has lied to the church about when it happened (He was in his 20’s and married ) the age of the child he calls a “young lady” ( She was 12) and about the claim that he was “ blessed by the victim and her father” to continue in the ministry. The fact that the leadership was complicit in this cover up and are still covering for him, speaks volumes about them. Sorry, but the church needs to clean house, otherwise the name of Christ will continue to be dragged through the mud for the sake of one man’s need to hold on to money and power. 😢

He should be in jail. He is definitely disqualified as pastor, but I personally think it’s beyond that. He being a pastor will be held at a higher standard. Jesus said temptation is bound to come but woe to him through which it come. It would have been better that a millstone was tied around his neck and thrown into the sea than to harm one of God’s lambs. He might be disqualified from more than just being a pastor.
