Needs to resign immediately. This was covered up for decades, and it appears that Morris has lied to the church about when it happened (He was in his 20’s and married ) the age of the child he calls a “young lady” ( She was 12) and about the claim that he was “ blessed by the victim and her father” to continue in the ministry. The fact that the leadership was complicit in this cover up and are still covering for him, speaks volumes about them. Sorry, but the church needs to clean house, otherwise the name of Christ will continue to be dragged through the mud for the sake of one man’s need to hold on to money and power. 😢

Sadly, this was in step with 1987 Chrstians. I don't believe for one second he got counseling. 1987 Christians did not believe counseling. Many still don't. If we are looking at what should have happen in 1987, which was 37 years and not 35 years ago), this is in step with that. Sadly, many are still doing the samething in 2024. Praise God the parents did what they thought was right back then. It was not easy! Trust me! And this is not something she should just forget. But he was not restoryed. What does that even mean? Just made up things. Why not share the full process. And how on earth did he put these crimes in the back of his mind for 37 years? Not one hind of it in the pulpit. Thats where the real issue is for me and many!

He should be in jail. He is definitely disqualified as pastor, but I personally think it’s beyond that. He being a pastor will be held at a higher standard. Jesus said temptation is bound to come but woe to him through which it come.
