The voice of an entire generation! The scene would not be what it is today without Robert Owens. Thanks for the interview. 🙌

I was over in Tokyo and was planning to stop by this dope club called Aegeha…they had their own bus line from downtown Shibuya to the club. I saw Robert Owens was spinning and I HAD to pop out! Shit damn near bought a tear to my eye…here I was 6,000 miles away from the ILL state and I’m rocking out with Robert Owens on the box to some music that we used to make in our bedrooms and play in our basement. Life is Something Special!

I've never met Robert but he just seems like a CLASS ACT. Cheers to a true dance music legend!

30 minutes of positivity. Robert speaks of his amazing art with such humility.... Glad I spent the time to be blessed with this.

Robert Owens has very distinctive voice, I can’t say I loved it or hated it but you could tell it was Robert Owens singing. Other vocalist tend to mimic each other.

Felt like y’all could have went a little longer with this one. But and as usual, great interview and appreciate the history!

Great interview Mo! Robert is one of the best to ever do it and he continues to stay underground with his sound. Never no more lonely still knocks till this day and so does Bring Down The Walls.

That Robert Owens/Larry Heard tandem is unmatched to this day. So so many great records came out during that era (It’s Over is one of my favorites that’s never mentioned) and I hate that we won’t get to hear them together as a team moving forward. Great interview nonetheless and I learned a lot about the man.

Such a great interview. I have been a fan of Robert’s music since the early eighties…. that silky voice always has us ladies swooning 😊. I learned from this interview just how very multitalented and humble he is. So very refreshing!

I love practically everything that Robert Owens made, very few of these artists of mentions the great Tee Scott, I consider him one of the very best other than myself that spin music, add soap to your rabbit you're one of my favorites❤❤❤❤
