When i first heard Page's instrumental track Bron-Yr-Aur, i went into a trance. That immense glory is just indescribable. I never thought in a million years I would ever be able to play something like that on guitar, but I finally learned it couple years back and I love playing it, although never as good as the man himself of course. I used to look at pictures on the cottage they stayed in Bron-Yr-Aur, what a beautiful looking place. You can almost smell it just from looking at pictures of it. One day I'll make it there. I'm happy you got the chance to visit it yourself. ☺️

@ it’s an absolute masterpiece that track! Well done on learning it ! I remember being 15 trying to learn it and of course open C tuning was not in my vocabulary in 1986! To stand at the spot they wrote zepp 3 and some of 4 was mind blowing ! To see the same view they got inspiration from. Magic! Cheers!

I saw this when it first aired on AXS TV. Seeing again for the second time is even better. Robert Plant is truly an amazing artist. It's mind blowing, to think that he lived through the extensive touring of LZ. They played a set that was almost four hours long, for about 300 days a year, night after night year after year and he can still sing. I love how he has stayed true to himself and was able to do what he wanted to do. I have nothing but respect for him. Truly one of a kind! Thanks for posting. I can't wait to see Becoming Led Zeppelin. I'm going to see it in IMAX.

I was 8 years old (1974) when my older sister dropped the needle on LZ II. Over 1000 concerts since then. Never got to see LZ, but Page Plant in 95 was way worthy. Robert with Alison Krauss, outstanding all three times. Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam. Beastie Boys. Bob Dylan. Grateful Dead. So many great live music experiences. What a great ride. It has been such an honor to grow old with all of those musicians which have given me so much. I just can't imagine life without music.

Same Page!, though I am a Straight Man. The first album I bought was "The Song Remains the Same". Am a high school teacher in the U.S. and, no lie, my ringtone on my phone is the oppening riffs of Kashmir. Today my phone went off in my bag during my last class, and I joked, "Who has got that cool ringtone?". Only 2 out of 20 15 year olds had heard it, so, just for fun, I stopped the lesson and played the 1st 2 minutes of Kashmir loud on my Smartboard. My students mostly listen to Rap, especially Tupac. Anywho, they liked the song. Lol.

That part of Wales (southwest Snowdonia) is so wonderfully quiet and beautiful, and makes one feel like you’re stepping back in time. It’s a magical place. The bridge at the beginning is in a place called Penmaenpool - there is a lovely pub there called the George III which has lovely views towards the Mawddach estuary. If you were to cross over the mountain south of Penmaenpool, Cader Idris (the chair of Idris the giant - google it), then you would eventually arrive at Machynlleth (after a rather long and arduous hike). Just to the north of Machynlleth is the cottage Bron-Yr-Aur which Robert mentions. This place is certainly more Zeppelin than the shores of Loch Ness

@@davidellis2021 if you go and need a place to stay I would stay in Dolgellau… has some nice little hotels, bnbs and pubs… and it’s a few miles walk to penmaenpool, down a track where the old railway line used to run. Barnouth is also an option but I find that to have a but of a tacky british seaside resort vibe… Machynlleth (try pronouncing that) is also a place to stay but I find it more towny than Dol and not as nicely situated

I had the pleasure of meeting Robert Plant in Odense. He was obviously there for a short visit (touring in Norway), checking out a Black American blues band of some sort. We met him in a dark alley, where he was standing on one leg, with the other resting on a podium - an old postal truck platform - studying the posters hanging on the wall. I was with my wife but ran the 20 feet just to shake his hand. He didn’t seem surprised. I politely asked, “Am I the first Greenlander you’ve met?” “Greenlander, huh?” he replied with a polite nod. “I guess you are, but you guys are Inuit, right?” “Yup.” - We smiled, and off I went. :)

I haven't been a fan of Led Zepplin or Robert's music (In fact I've criticized it.) That said, I am a fan of Robert's interviews. He is an interesting chap, and makes for a great interview. At this older age, he's particularly interesting, as he has a lot of life experiences to draw from. As a singer/guitar jammer/songwriter/performer myself (playing only my original mellow jazz, at winery events), I relate to Robert as a fellow artist. We musicians/singers/songwriters are, in a sense, in one giant club. I'm not drawn to his art, but I like his creative spirit, and ever moving pursuit of improving his art. Well done, Robert. And the interviewer here, has created a really nice video, that kind of carries us away into the green hills of Wales, as part of it. Bravo !! Thanks for the video. You did a great job. (I had no idea that Brian Johnson has been the lead singer of AC/DC. Shows how much I know about this category of music.)

America in the early 1970s was very careful what they played on the radio back then especially in the rural areas like where I was from. I did not know about Led Zeppelin until my dad bought a 1971 Ford Torino in 1973, It had a 8 track tape player with the very first Led Zeppelin album in it left behind by the previous owner. I pushed in the tape while my mother was driving the car and magic came out out the speakers it was life changing for me and my mother as well. We never heard anything like it the most amazing band we ever heard in our lives, We always listened to the radio back then but most rock bands were never heard of until years later. That was the sad thing about living in the Bible belt you only heard top 40 bubble gum rock songs back then.
