Saw the show in Cary NC on June 14th, 49 years after seeing Led Zepplin in Pittsbugh PA. The same friends that I was with in 1973 drove 500 miles to join me for this performance and we had a blast! Fabulous performance. The Battle of Evermore was the absolute highlight of the evening.

You lucky doggy you. I'll bet you it was great. I only got to watch the particular video about the making of it. And of course I had the cod. At the time I was taking care of my mom as full-time caregiver. I could not have gone across the street for free and seen the show. When you have a mom with Dementia you sort of don't go much past your driveway. So I'm glad you had a great time. So we got through this with the person being able to record it without literally shooting the people in front of them. You know that ones ithat wouldn't sit down. So bad isn't it sometimes? Imagine they weren't supposed to be recording this. But sometimes it's just a joy to get to see a little bit of a concert it really is. Just take care of yourself. Thank you for sharing your other joy. Damn good isn't it

He looks familiar...but that's no help..sorry...but someone will reply and let us know who it is. Now if it was Steve Ferrone from the TP & Heartbreakers or something yeah yeah yeah also. But I have seen this fellow before. Isn't this just fantastic? On a similar nite I read this morning that that pop group from Korea BTS may not be earning as much money this year because of things going on with the pandemic and they're getting older. And they have stock market value. That's what happens when you are on,y in it for the $$$ But most of us watching these videos know that these artists needed to eat, but the overarching reason they are in music is because it is real and they had to do it. They couldn't not do it. They couldn't be a bank attendant, they had to play music Do or Die. RIP Tom Petty. Because if it's only about the money, it will come around on the guitar and bite you in the ass, and deservedly...boo and hoo. 😈. Be safe. Be cool if you can. We need you. Gail in Central Florida. I think they were phenomenal on their first compilation together. This one is how do I say it? Exceeds the phenomenal of the first. As I sitting here listening to when the Levee breaks and Allison and him and just I'm sure Jimmy Page is going to love this l. I mean hell this is just OMG. Oh my God they are also doing gone gone gone which is written by the Everly Brothers. And on Siriusxm this Sunday, June 19, there will be on Berry treasure, Tom Petty show a crib Ute compilation that has been done by Tom Petty's daughter and one of the Everly's sons, that is going to be released very soon. And gone gone gone by them is also going to be on the CD. It is going to be a joy. It is how Music was meant to be. And that there is a joining of a spirit in all of genres. And of course gone gone gone was on the first Alison Krauss and Robert Plant CD. So this is definitely a joy to watch. Thank you so much for getting this together for us.

I loved the first compilation. I think I wore the grooves off that CD. ...Ready to get this one soon... Now all you Tom Petty people.I guess you heard on Buried Treasure at 4 PM this Sunday, June 19. Or Juneteenth of course, there's going to be a bunch of performances regarding the Everly Brothers and the compilation that was put together by one of Tom Petty's daughter and one of Everly Brothers kids...but connection is one of the songs on Raising Sand, the first Robert Plant Alison Krauss compilation was "gone gone gone. That song was written by the Everly Brothers. And performed by them and it is on this compilation. And the first time I had truly ever heard the song was through Robert and Alison. So that was the connecting piece and it will be fun. One more way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon and honor a whole bunch of good people at one time. Peace to all of you. To all the haters: Robert’s been around long enough that he’s earned the right to lay back, do a bunch of tunes he likes, and have a little fun! And I dig the Indian feel on “Levee.” The Ganges has floods too! And the Bert Jansch tribute - “Bother” - was a well-deserved nod to a genius.

@@alisonkrauss1501 WOW! A response? I’m flabbergasted!!! But a question - out of the bunch you do with Robert? Or otherwise? Since you were kind enough to respond, I’ll give a bit of both. “Killing the Blues” is a great comfort song, as well as a great relaxing song. Chris Smither isn’t just a great writer but a great dude. I got the chance to chat with him after one of his concerts. My personal comfort song - “This Woman’s Work” by Kate Bush. Odd story here. I gave the album to my younger sister, who was a Bush fan. Learned a year later she had cancer, and the line “I know you’ve got a lot of strength left” still gives me chills. (And thanks to the two of you for including “Go Your Way.” It’s a stunner.) “Gone, Gone Gone” gets my motor running. The vid of you and Robert dancing around and flirting with each other is a gas! But if there’s one song that gets me in the guts every time it’s the 1994 Montreux version of “I Could Have Had Religion” by Rory Gallagher; it’s about the darkest, angriest blues anyone white ever did. My “in the mood” cut is one you probably aren’t familiar with, but you should check out on KZbin. “Manha de Carnival” by Sandy Bull, a ten minute improvisation on the Bonfa classic, played on the Arabic oud. This is like nothing else I’ve ever heard. Bull was one of three people, along with Bert Jansch and John Fahey, who accidentally started a whole school of acoustic guitar instrumentalists, and his records pointed the way for McLaughlin and Metheny. I’d love to see the expression on your face listening to this. Hope this suffices, and thanks again!

Nothing more needs to be said or added, except perhaps that the history of Led Zeppelin continues here, a new chapter was written when Robert entered and ushered a new personal best for himself. This is what, if you allow yourself to imagine, Led Zeppelin would / does sound like as if it were Humanified into an OLD PERSON with worldly experience and scars to prove it. Allow yourself to imagine it...really... If you go back to the IN THROUGH THE OUTDOOR record album, the IMAGE HAD ALREADY CHANGED, actually opened a brand new door of perception [pun/no pun]...

I got to see them on this tour for free. I had a ticket to see Halsey at Merriweather Post Pavilion last week. That was the show where the venue got flooded and they had to cancel. They handled it so poorly that Halsey announced the rescheduled date would be at a different venue. Merriweather was so apologetic that they not only refunded the tickets but also offered a free lawn seat to one of their upcoming shows. As it turned out, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were playing there that Saturday. Even the cheapest tickets were a bit out of my price range, but now that I had an excuse to go free of charge, I took them up on the offer. Had a good time. Why are there always people that wanna stand up in front of other people so people can't see? I'm just listening to the video right now and groaning. I went to a Fiona Apple concert when she first was recording. And we had two people in front of us that only wanted to move to the back beat. So if the song was slow they were rocking out on 4-4 beat. And the young girl had a long ponytail which she swished back-and-forth like a metronome. We finally suggested that they get up and dance in the aisle. And we were at the Tower Theater in Philly at the time. So we were able to pull that off.

Everybody has preferences. I wish they came close to my area, I would love to see this toor. i saw raising sand tour and thoiught it was great. Probably more than most artists from the 70s supergroups, Plant has embraced change and explored many different musical avenues. His solo projects and collaborations have explored a wider range of music than his Zep roots. I think Plant and Kraus compliment each others voices and style. Similar to Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris, their voices together and re-imagination of classic songs make me smile.

@@wandamundy1759 Robert Plant said back in 2020 "I do not want to be a jukebox and play the same old songs". Ok fine, then do not sing Led Zeppelin music, Robert Plant knows that if he played only his solo stuff he wouldn't fill a VFW Hall. I was a fan of Plant before I knew of Zeppelin, and when I heard my first Zeppelin song I knew this solo stuff was Childs play compared to the music he played in the 1970s. Robert Plant makes music for his now whims not for fans, because he has alienated a bunch of his fans with this Hilly Billy shit that has background in racism. Why would you want to listen to this shit?

Terrible performance. Plant is totally off key. I have no idea why the great Alison Krauss is performing with this washed up singer.
