Dr. Robert R. Redfield is an American virologist best known for his work on HIV/AIDS and his tenure as the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure as CDC director he had to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and how best to protect the country from the virus as well as with the question of the causes and the origins of the crisis.
