Robert Schumann - Koncertní kus pro čtyři lesní rohy a orchestr

Talentovaný estonský dirigent a sbormistr Risto Joost uvedl 5.2. 2018 v Rudolfinu vzácně hrané dílo Roberta Schumanna. Mezi sólisty se představí celá hornová sekce - Marc Gruber, Nicolas Ramez, Kateřina Javůrková a Félix Dervaux. Všichni jsou laureáty Mezinárodní hudební soutěže ARD v Mnichově z roku 2016. Sólové party kladou na hráče mimořádné nároky. Na mnoha místech jsou vyhnány do výšek a sólisté hrají téměř bez ustání.

actually, the third horn is taking over by his tripple(?) horn when the very high notes start.

yep, Felix and I split the 1st horn part in 1st and 3rd movement. Its a full compensating triple :)

It's my dream to be good enough to play the entire 1st part on a normal double. Of course, I'm still ways away 😅

That was certainly a fine performance. Very nice interpretation. And they blended extremely well which is probably an important secret ingredient for this piece. Also, I wonder if some first horn player along the line made Schumann mad for him to write such a brutal first horn part. I see in another note that some of this was split between the 1st and 3rd horns. That makes a lot of sense to me.

Sounds great guys, my only bone to pick would be that the camera is on the flute too much, and that the music is out of sync with the players, apart from that bravo!
